Accordingly, 10 communes and towns are recognized as meeting the National Criteria for Commune Health in 2024 for 10 communes, specifically:
Bao Yen district has 6 recognized communes, including: Cam Con, Nghia Do, Phuc Khanh, Viet Tien, Thuong Ha, Dien Quan.
Bat Xat district has 3 recognized communes and 1 town, including: Den Thang, Sang Ma Sao, Pa Cheo communes; Bat Xat town.
Previously in 2024, the Chairman of Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee issued Decision No. 1626 recognizing 138 communes, wards and towns that met the National Criteria for Commune Health by 2030.
Currently, the whole province has 148/151 communes, wards and towns meeting the national criteria on commune health by 2030.
According to regulations, a commune is recognized as meeting national health criteria for a period of 3 years, fully meeting the requirements of achieving 80% of the total score or more and the score in each criterion must reach 50% of the score of that criterion or more, without "failure points".
On March 9, 2023, the Ministry of Health issued Decision 1300/QD-BYT on the national criteria for commune health care by 2030.
This set of criteria is applied to evaluate the activities of protecting, caring for and improving people's health in the entire commune, ward and town (hereinafter referred to as commune), not just evaluating the activities of the commune health station.
The main purpose of the Criteria Set is to create criteria to best meet the health care needs of the people in each region.
The indicators in this set of criteria are the basic requirements to be achieved in the period up to 2030.
There are cases that have met the criteria in this set of criteria, but have not met the regulations and standards in some other regulations issued by the Ministry of Health and other ministries and branches, and must continue to strive to meet those requirements and standards.
Evaluation criteria are based on current regulations. When those regulations change, the evaluation criteria also need to change accordingly.
Localities can specify, adjust and supplement to suit specific conditions and circumstances regarding geography, socio-economy and disease models of each locality.
All local adjustments and additions must be sent to the Ministry of Health for synthesis; if necessary, the Ministry of Health will provide written comments.
