Hanoi Population Department changes name after merger

Accordingly, the Hanoi Population Department will be reorganized on the basis of merging the Department of Child Protection, Care and Gender Equality (except for the gender equality department) and the Hanoi Department of Social Evils Prevention and Control under the Hanoi Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs and renamed the Department of Population, Children and Social Evils Prevention and Control under the Hanoi Department of Health.

At the same time, the City People's Committee issued Decision No. 1320/QD-UBND on regulating the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of the Department of Population, Children and Prevention of Social Evils.

Accordingly, the Department of Population, Children and Prevention of Social Evils is an administrative organization under the Hanoi Department of Health, performing the function of assisting the Director of the Department in advising the City People's Committee on State management of population work; child protection and care; prevention and control of social evils in the city.

The Department has legal status, its own seal and account according to regulations; is under the comprehensive direction and management of the Hanoi Department of Health; is under the direction, inspection and professional guidance of relevant professional agencies under the Ministry of Health.

The Department has: Department Head and Deputy Department Heads. The number of Deputy Department Heads is implemented according to regulations. The number of Deputy Heads of Departments of the Department is implemented according to regulations.

The staff of the Department is assigned based on job positions associated with functions, tasks, scope of activities and is within the total administrative staff assigned annually by the City People's Committee to the Hanoi Department of Health.

This Decision takes effect from the date of signing. Previous regulations contrary to the provisions of this Decision are hereby repealed.
