(Dan Tri) - The Chairman of the People's Committee of Ha Tinh province requested the police to review and report the total population of the province and district-level units to send a report to the Ministry of Home Affairs.
The People's Committee of Ha Tinh province recently sent an urgent document to the Ha Tinh Provincial Police and the Department of Home Affairs regarding reporting population size data.
According to the document, Mr. Vo Trong Hai, Chairman of the People's Committee of Ha Tinh province, requested the Provincial Police to review and report the total population of the province and district-level units as of December 31, 2024 and as of February 28, as prescribed in Resolution No. 35 dated July 12, 2023 of the National Assembly Standing Committee.

Ha Tinh Department of Home Affairs, based on the report of the Provincial Police, advises the Provincial People's Committee to report to the Ministry of Home Affairs and directly reports to relevant agencies of the Ministry of Home Affairs.
According to the People's Committee of Ha Tinh province, the reporting of the above content is to prepare for tasks related to the implementation of Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW dated October 25, 2017 of the Party Central Committee on a number of issues to continue innovating and streamlining the apparatus of the political system to be streamlined and operate effectively and efficiently.
In the 2023-2025 period, Ha Tinh province will merge one district and 23 communes. Currently, the province has 12 district-level administrative units, including nine districts, two towns and one city.
Ha Tinh has a natural land area of nearly 6,000 square kilometers, bordering Nghe An province to the north, Quang Binh province to the south, Laos to the west, and the sea to the east.
