The meeting reviewed the formation and development process of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee and the glorious victories of the army and people of the province in the two resistance wars against French colonialism and American imperialism.
In particular, the event of March 26, 1975 is recalled with deep pride when the army and people of Que Phu, under the leadership of the Zone 5 Party Committee, Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee and Que Son District Party Committee, heroically fought to liberate their homeland, ending 21 years of arduous war.
After 50 years, Que Phu commune has made great strides in development. From a war-torn countryside, the locality now has more than 11,500 people, 8 villages, 350 party members and 15 party cells. The economy has maintained good growth, infrastructure has been strongly invested, more than 96% of rural roads have been concreted, and the canal system is solidly serving production.
Notably, the locality has no more poor households; more than 98.7% of families have achieved cultural titles; 6/8 villages have met the criteria of model new rural areas. National defense and security have been maintained, and the political system has operated effectively.
This political activity is of great significance, an opportunity for cadres, party members and people to review the heroic fighting tradition of their homeland, arouse pride, and continue to promote the spirit of solidarity and innovation.
