(To Quoc) - The project's goal is to preserve cultural values that are at risk of being lost, while promoting sustainable socio-economic development in rural areas.
In the vibrant flow of modern life, preserving and spreading traditional cultural values is becoming an urgent mission.
The project "Vietnamese Traits - Gen Z's Journey to the Village" was born with the desire to awaken national pride, connect the young generation with cultural quintessence, and breathe life into heritage through the creative and youthful lens of Gen Z.
The project is implemented as a solid bridge between traditional values and modern breath. Not only aiming to preserve traditional craft villages that are facing the risk of extinction, the project also contributes to promoting the socio-economy in rural areas of Vietnam.
Through hundreds of videos made over five years, the project has faithfully recreated the cultural quintessence of craft villages across the country. Each video is a "living museum," recording the images, sounds and stories of traditional craft villages - places that preserve the soul of Vietnamese culture.
The highlight of "Vietnamese Features" is the participation of Gen Z - young people born in the digital age, full of enthusiasm and creativity. Through practical experiences in craft villages, Gen Z not only learns and explores but also finds inspiration to create and spread cultural values in their own way.
Ms. Pham Thi Hanh Chi - the project founder shared with reporters: "Culture and history is a difficult field to approach, especially for young people. We spent a lot of time thinking about how to make Gen Z love culture more, because culture is the values formed from life, and the craft villages where the quintessence is preserved are gradually fading away.
By using rich images and youthful expressions, we hope to make traditional culture closer to the young generation."
Ms. Pham Thi Hanh Chi - founder of the project "Vietnamese Features".
The project offers three unique content series broadcast on YouTube: "Gen Z Returns to the Village" - exploring traditional craft villages; "Gen Z with Vietnamese Flavors" - learning about ethnic cuisine; "Gen Z with Vietnamese Heritage" - accessing cultural heritage across the three regions.
Field trips take viewers to meet talented artisans, learn about the process of creating handmade products and experience unique culinary flavors. This is not only a journey of discovery but also a journey back to the roots, awakening love and pride in national culture.
The project "Vietnamese Features" is supported by Ngo Thi Quynh Giao (TikToker Giao Cùn) - a young and passionate media ambassador. As a prominent face in the Gen Z community, Giao Cùn has attracted attention with meaningful content.
She shared: "It is a great honor for me to participate in the project. This is a valuable opportunity to witness the craft villages and meet talented artisans. If we do not act quickly, many traditional values may disappear forever."
Participating in this project with strong cultural values, Le Pham Phuong Linh expressed her strong passion for national culture and her desire to spread artistic values closer to the younger generation.
"In just the past 6 months, I have noticed a clear shift in young people's interest in culture and arts.
This is the golden time for meaningful projects like this to spread strongly, arousing love and national pride in the community," Phuong Linh said.
The project "Vietnamese Traits - Gen Z's Journey to the Village" was born with the desire to awaken national pride, connect the young generation with cultural quintessence, and breathe life into heritage through the creative and youthful lens of Gen Z.
In the turbulent modern world, traditional values are like a compass that helps us shape our identity and maintain national pride.
With creativity and enthusiasm, Gen Z is breathing new life into heritage, recreating it with a youthful and dynamic spirit. This journey not only awakens a love for history but also opens up opportunities for Vietnamese culture to reach out and endure over time.
"Vietnamese Traits" is an invitation for the young generation to join hands in preserving and promoting national identity - a journey connecting the past, present and future so that Vietnamese heritage will forever shine in everyone's heart./.
