Implementing Project No. 25-DA/DUCA of the Central Party Committee of the Public Security on "Continuing to arrange and streamline the organization of the Public Security apparatus at units and localities to operate effectively and efficiently, meeting the requirements and tasks in the new period", starting from today, March 1, the Public Security sector will be streamlined into 3 levels: Ministry - Province - Commune. Immediately after the end of the activities of the District Public Security, the Vinh Phuc Provincial Public Security has arranged officers and soldiers to take up duties at the Commune Public Security. Today (March 1), the Vinh Phuc Public Security system is organized and rearranged into 2 levels, the Provincial Public Security and the Commune Public Security.
After the end of the operation of the Police of 9 districts and cities and 82 teams under the district-level Police, Vinh Phuc Provincial Police has rearranged over 1,000 officers and soldiers in the direction of mobilizing, assigning, and increasing appropriate officers in the professional departments under the Provincial Police and the Commune-level Police. Priority is given to increasing officers in communes with large areas, large populations, and complicated security and order. The policy of streamlining the apparatus has created favorable conditions for increasing direct combat forces for the grassroots, closer to the people.
From today, Vinh Phuc Police has increased the number of officers and soldiers to take up duties at the police stations of communes, wards and towns throughout the province. When the district police no longer exist, the provincial police will comprehensively resolve all issues and have a general grasp of the security and order situation in the locality. Commune-level police chiefs will be assigned some additional powers and communes will be given more investigators and investigation officers. Many administrative procedures will also be received at the commune-level police to create favorable conditions for the people.
