Hue spends nearly 17 billion VND to build a floating stage on the Perfume River

On March 23, at National School Monument (Thuan Hoa District, Hue City), the stage construction unit serving the opening night of National Tourism Year - Hue 2025 (taking place on the evening of March 25) is urgently constructing the final items.

At this time, hundreds of dancers and artists from all over the country have also gathered in Hue, urgently rehearsing for the opening night art program.

In addition to the grandly invested art performances, the highlight of the opening night of the National Tourism Year - Hue 2025 is the outdoor stage, floating on the poetic Huong River.

Seen from above, the stage is shaped like a gong – a unique decorative motif of Hue royal architecture. In addition, a grandstand area has also been installed, with a capacity of up to thousands of spectators.

It is known that the decoration and staging items for this performance were invested by the People's Committee of Hue City with a total cost of nearly 16.7 billion VND.

As planned, the opening program of the National Tourism Year - Hue 2025 will be held at 8:10 p.m. on March 25. The performance will be in the form of a semi-real scene, combined with water screens, visual mapping, LED floors, pyrotechnic effects, hot air balloons, paragliding, heavy smoke, sound and light installations.

Dancer Pham Ngoc Duy (from Hanoi) shared: "I have performed on many stages, but this is the first time I have performed on a stage on the water like this, very large and magnificent, so I am extremely excited. I hope that in the future, Vietnam in general and Hue in particular will strongly develop tourism, as well as promote Vietnamese culture and national identity."

Up to now, the construction unit has completed the installation of the grandstand system for the opening ceremony.

Mr. Duong Quang Hien, Director of the Green Park Center of Thuan Hoa District, Hue City, said that the stage project serving the opening program of the National Tourism Year - Hue 2025 has been basically completed. Regarding the stage decoration, the gong symbol is only for the opening program of the National Tourism Year, then it will be dismantled. This area will continue to be the construction project of the outdoor stage.

Grandstand with capacity of over 6,000 people

Previously, at this location, Hue City People's Committee also invested more than 28.5 billion VND to serve the project of an outdoor stage combined with a walking path along the Huong River.

The project aims to renovate and create landscapes to maximize the exploitation of the two banks of the Huong River for cultural tourism; entertainment venues, and venues for major events in Hue City.

The project will have a promenade along the Huong River with a length of 432 m and a width of 3 m. The stage will be semicircular, with a reinforced concrete floor structure, 20 cm thick, covered with 50 mm thick ironwood, with an area of ​​430 m². The grandstand area will be covered with fertile soil, planted with grass and seasonal flowers, with an area of ​​3,000 m². The monolithic stone benches will be 334 m long. The lighting will be arranged with 2 floodlight columns; 213 sets of LED recessed lights, and 330 sets of waterproof LED bars.

At this location, the construction unit is implementing an outdoor stage project combined with a walking path along the Huong River.

After nearly 2 months of construction, the project has completed some basic items, enough to meet the needs of staging and installing the stage to serve the opening program of National Tourism Year - Hue 2025.

Once completed, the venue will host many outdoor events and special art shows.

When completed, the venue will host a variety of outdoor events and artistic performances with a capacity of approximately 6,000 people. The project will take two years to complete.
