Despite facing many difficulties and challenges, in the journey of building and developing the local socio-economy, the Party Committee, government and people of Tuy An district have always united and joined hands to implement many positive measures and solutions; closely following and thoroughly grasping and seriously implementing the guidelines and policies of the Party and State, along with the Resolutions, Directives and Action Programs of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council and People's Committee of Phu Yen province; thereby creating a new face for Tuy An land with many outstanding results associated with vivid numbers.

Reviewing the innovations and developments in the locality, Mr. Huynh Gia Hoang, Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Tuy An district, said that by implementing solutions to shift the economic structure in the right direction, by the end of 2024, the proportion of agriculture, forestry and fishery in Tuy An district had been reduced by 12.24%, the proportion of industry and construction increased to 34.94%, trade and tourism services also increased by 52.82%. Not only historical relics and national landscapes such as Ganh Da Dia, O Loan Lagoon, Tu Quang Pagoda, Hon Yen... but many landscapes in Tuy An district have truly become attractive destinations for domestic and foreign tourists, so in 2024, this locality welcomed more than 480,000 visitors, with total revenue from tourism of more than 38.1 billion VND.

Compared to 2023, the number of international visitors increased by 0.5% and revenue increased by 17%. A highlight and also a remarkable new momentum in 2024 was the achievement and surpassing of 21/21 socio-economic, national defense and security targets, including many key targets such as total production value increased by 15.72% compared to 2023, exceeding the plan by 0.58%; budget revenue exceeded the plan by 146%; average income per capita in the year reached 57.3 million VND, up 19.1% compared to 2023, 14/14 communes met new rural standards (NTM), 95% of villages, neighborhoods, agencies, cultural units; 97% of cultural families...

Another highlight in sustainable local construction and development is that in addition to establishing and completing the Master Plan for Chi Thanh urban area and surrounding areas until 2035, submitting it to the People's Committee of Phu Yen province for consideration and approval, Tuy An district has also planned zoning, detailed planning and urban infrastructure investment projects for the period 2025 - 2030. In addition, key projects and works in the district have been accelerated with the drastic participation of the entire political system, people and businesses.

Typically, the site clearance for the construction of the North-South expressway through Tuy An has been handed over in a timely manner; key projects of the province and district such as the coastal road north of An Hai bridge; handling of landslides on the An My - An Chan coast; provincial road 650; urban embellishment of Chi Thanh town and residential areas in the area; resettlement areas of Phu Phong, An Chan commune; Phu Hoi, Phu Luong, An Ninh Dong commune and a number of inter-district roads... have also been focused on by Tuy An district to promptly and effectively implement to contribute to promoting socio-economic development. In addition, Tuy An district has also proactively coordinated and supported investors and relevant agencies and units to implement key projects in the coming time such as the coastal road Tuy An - Tuy Hoa city, Hau Duc reservoir...

Regarding national defense and security work, Mr. Huynh Gia Hoang said that in the past time, Tuy An District Party Committee and People's Committee have always focused on strengthening leadership to effectively implement the task of protecting national security, ensuring social order and safety, fighting against crime and national defense tasks according to Decree No. 03/2019/ND-CP, dated September 5, 2019 of the Government. The military enlistment rate is 100%, the quality of construction, training and operation of the militia force has been improved; many measures and solutions to fight against all types of crimes have been effectively implemented; 91.2% of crime reports and denunciations have been resolved; 90% of social order violations have been investigated and clarified; no organized gang crimes have occurred, no passivity or surprise in any situation...

After Tuy An District Police was dissolved to implement the three-level Police model, the Tuy An District Party Committee and People's Committee focused on leading and directing the continued promotion of the construction of Commune and Town Police to meet the requirements and tasks in the new situation according to Resolution No. 12-NQ/DUCA dated July 25, 2022 of the Central Public Security Party Committee and Directive No. 11/CT-BCA dated October 28, 2022 of the Minister of Public Security.

At the end of 2024, Tuy An District Party Committee was awarded a certificate of merit for meeting the criteria for excellent completion of typical tasks according to Decision No. 1576-QD/TU dated March 4, 2025 of Phu Yen Provincial Party Committee; Tuy An District People's Committee was classified as having excellently completed its tasks with a performance quality index of 92.60% according to Decision No. 1801/QD-UBND dated December 25, 2024 of the Chairman of Phu Yen Provincial People's Committee and was the leading locality among 9 district-level administrative units in the province, proposed by the Emulation Cluster of districts, towns and cities in the province to the Phu Yen Provincial People's Committee to award an emulation flag.
