Opening of National Tourism Year - Hue 2025, opening up new opportunities

On March 19, Ms. Tran Thi Hoai Tram, Director of Hue City Department of Tourism, said that the opening ceremony of the National Tourism Year - Hue 2025 will take place on the evening of March 25 at the stage on the bank of the Perfume River, in front of Quoc Hoc Hue High School for the Gifted. The event will last 90 minutes, with an art program themed "Love confession of the river", along with a brilliant fireworks display.

The opening program consists of three parts: "The Legend of a River", "Converging Rivers" and "New Flows of Rivers", honoring the tangible and intangible cultural values ​​and unique tourism resources of Vietnam.

The event was attended by more than 800 famous actors, singers, artists and international art troupes from China and Korea.

The opening night also featured many impressive performances such as drone light shows, electronic water drums, panoramic water music, flying dragons, flying parachutes... The highlight was the 10-13 minute high-altitude fireworks display at the Hue Flag Tower area.

The leaders of Hue City Department of Tourism emphasized that the National Tourism Year - Hue 2025 is a cultural - economic - social event of national and international significance, associated with Hue Festival 2025 and the 50th anniversary of the liberation of Thua Thien Hue province (now Hue City). The event will contribute to promoting tourism links between localities, exploiting potentials and creating strong development momentum for Hue tourism.

According to the Hue City People's Committee, the National Tourism Year 2025 has the theme "Hue - Ancient Capital, New Opportunities", with nearly 160 national and local events. Activities focus on four festival seasons: Spring in the Ancient Capital, Shining Imperial City, Hue in Autumn, and Winter in Hue. The opening ceremony will take place on March 25, while the closing ceremony is scheduled to take place at the end of December 2025.
