Floating stage revealed on Huong River for the opening night of National Tourism Year - Hue 2025

The project promises to bring an eye-catching artistic space, combining traditional culture and modern performance technology.

Located in the National Academy of Sciences area (Hue City), the floating stage is designed in the shape of a gong - a typical architectural symbol of the Hue royal court, expressing the spirit of honoring culture and history.

With a capacity of up to thousands of spectators, the grandstand area has also completed installation work, ready to welcome visitors and residents.

Not only has a unique design, the opening night art program is also elaborately invested with semi-realistic performances, combining visual mapping effects, LED floors, water screens, pyrotechnic effects, hot air balloons, paragliders and modern sound and lighting systems.

These days, hundreds of artists and dancers from all over the country have gathered in Hue to rehearse for the opening night. Dancer Pham Ngoc Duy (Hanoi) shared that this is the first time he has performed on water. The grandeur and uniqueness of the stage makes him extremely excited. Hopefully, the program will contribute to promoting Vietnamese culture to domestic and foreign tourists.

According to Mr. Duong Quang Hien, Director of the Green Park Center of Thuan Hoa District, the floating stage on the Huong River will only serve the opening program of the National Tourism Year - Hue 2025, and will then be dismantled.

However, this area will continue to be developed into a permanent outdoor stage to serve long-term cultural and artistic events of Hue City.

In addition to the temporary floating stage, Hue City is also implementing an outdoor stage project combined with a walking path along the Huong River, with a total investment of more than 28.5 billion VND.

The project includes a semicircular stage covered with ironwood, a 3,000 m² grandstand system and a modern lighting system, expected to become an attractive destination for tourism and major events in the future.

After nearly two months of construction, the project has completed many important items, ready for the opening night and subsequent events. When completed, this outdoor stage will have a capacity of about 6,000 people, becoming the center for organizing major arts and festivals in the ancient capital.
