Central, provincial and district general hospitals all have rehabilitation departments, 20 provinces and cities have established centers to support the development of inclusive education and 107 specialized educational facilities for disabled children who cannot attend regular schools, and have unified sign language and Braille nationwide.
Every year, about 19,000 people with disabilities are trained to create jobs; jobs are introduced to more than 20,000 people with disabilities with a success rate of over 50%, about 40,000 people with disabilities are able to borrow capital from the National Employment Fund with preferential interest rates... "In recent years, thanks to the promotion of communication, discrimination and treatment of people with disabilities has decreased significantly. However, access to construction projects for people with disabilities is still difficult, besides the problem of employment", said Ms. Dinh Thi Thuy.
Regarding press activities in particular, according to Ms. Quyen, the press actively contributes to the dissemination and popularization of the State's guidelines, policies, and laws on PWDs. The press participates in praising good experiences, good practices, and typical examples of PWDs. Not only reflecting and setting examples, the press also discovers and criticizes weaknesses and shortcomings in the integration process of PWDs. In general, the press is a forum for initiatives, opportunities, and integration pathways of PWDs, while introducing effective models and directions to support PWDs, thereby contributing a great voice to convey information about PWDs to the community, helping the community have a more positive view.
