Regulations on extra teaching and learning in Thu Duc City that teachers need to know

(NLDO) - Thu Duc City assigned the Department of Education and Training to organize, review, and inspect extra teaching and learning activities in the area.

Thu Duc City People's Committee has just officially issued instructions on implementing regulations on extra teaching and learning in the area.

According to the People's Committee of Thu Duc City (HCMC), implementing the regulations in Circular 29/2024 of the Ministry of Education and Training on extra teaching and learning. The People's Committee of Thu Duc City has given specific instructions:

Assign the Department of Education and Training to: Organize and thoroughly implement the regulations of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee and the Department of Education and Training according to Circular No. 29/2024 of the Ministry of Education and Training regulating extra teaching and learning and current documents.

In coordination with relevant agencies, the People's Committees of 34 wards organize, review and inspect extra teaching and learning activities in the management area.

Assign the Department of Economics - Planning and Investment: Guide, provide information and implement administrative procedures related to business registration according to the provisions of law in Thu Duc city.

Coordinate with the Department of Science - Technology and Information to carry out communication work on business registration to people in need in accordance with regulations.

Assign the Chairmen of the People's Committees of 34 wards: Develop a plan to coordinate with the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and socio-political organizations to propagate to union members, association members, and people of all walks of life, and strengthen the supervisory role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and organizations in extra teaching and learning activities in the area.

Coordinate with the Department of Education and Training and relevant agencies to manage and review the implementation of regulations on extra teaching and learning in the area.

Thu Duc City assigned the Department of Education and Training to coordinate with relevant agencies and the People's Committees of 34 wards to organize, review and inspect extra teaching and learning activities in the area.

Coordinate with city authorities to monitor and inspect compliance with legal regulations on working hours, overtime hours and legal regulations on security, order, safety, environmental sanitation, fire prevention and fighting of organizations and individuals teaching and learning in the area according to the provisions of law.

Assign heads of educational institutions : Organize implementation, dissemination, and propaganda to cadres, civil servants, teachers, staff, students, and parents about Circular No. 29.

Thoroughly educate all cadres and teachers of the Department of Education and Training of Thu Duc City to strictly implement regulations on extra teaching and learning; resolutely not to allow extra teaching and learning that is not in accordance with regulations inside and outside of schools; coordinate to monitor and inspect extra teaching activities outside of schools of teachers teaching at schools when requested.

Absolutely do not relax the organization of review and training for students with unsatisfactory learning results; organize for final grade students to strengthen review for entrance exams and graduation exams according to the school's education plan; determine that this is the responsibility of schools to help students meet the requirements for each subject of each grade according to the regulations of the 2018 General Education Program.

Timely detect, handle and propose appropriate solutions to difficulties and problems in the process of implementing Circular No. 29.

Receive and handle opinions, recommendations and wishes of students and parents about extra teaching and learning before and during the implementation process.

District 7 checks extra teaching and learning at primary level in February and March

The Department of Education and Training of District 7 has also officially issued a decision to inspect the principal's responsibility in organizing the implementation of the 2018 General Education Program; management of extra teaching and learning; management of life skills education activities; STEM education, teaching English with foreign teachers; activities of clubs, extracurricular activities, and happy schools.

Mr. Dang Nguyen Thinh, Head of the Department of Education and Training of District 7, said that in order to implement the inspection plan, the Department of Education and Training of District 7 requires primary school principals to report on self-inspection within the scope of the inspection content of the inspection team. Prepare complete documents to prove each inspection content and arrange them scientifically and reasonably to create favorable conditions for the inspection team to carry out their tasks.

The inspection team receives the report of the inspected subject, listens to the report, studies, analyzes, compares, and evaluates the report of the inspected subject and the collected information and documents; requests the inspected subject to explain issues related to the inspection content. During the direct inspection, if necessary, the inspection team will work with relevant civil servants, public employees, or relevant individuals to verify the inspected content and take responsibility for the accuracy and objectivity of the verified information and documents.

After completing the inspection and verification at each unit, the inspection team will make a record and notify the preliminary results of the general assessment of the implementation of legal regulations on the inspection content.

According to the Department of Education and Training of District 7, the scope of the inspection is from the beginning of the 2023-2024 school year to the time of inspection. The inspection period is from February and March 2025.
