Hanoi Social Insurance (BHXH) said that recently, the unit received information from a number of educational institutions about a subject impersonating the Hanoi Social Insurance agency sending invitations to students and parents requesting to provide personal information such as: citizen identification, health insurance card to change, supplement health insurance card information on the VssID application - Social Insurance number.
Hanoi Social Insurance affirmed that this agency and Social Insurance of districts, towns and cities currently have no policy requiring parents, students and people to go to Social Insurance agencies to update health insurance card information on the VssID application.
When there is a need to register a VssID-Social Insurance number account for children or update information on the VssID application, resolve social insurance, health insurance, unemployment insurance regimes, units; parents, students directly contact the city's Social Insurance, Social Insurance of districts, towns for support, or do it on the National Public Service Portal, Vietnam Social Insurance Public Service Portal, on the VssID - Social Insurance number application.
To avoid being taken advantage of and scammed, workers and citizens need to regularly update information on social insurance and health insurance policies and laws through official channels of the social insurance industry; Follow announcements from authorities about fraud methods and tricks on mass media; Research and check carefully before making online transactions (do not make friends on Zalo, do not click on strange links or provide OTP codes, personal passwords, etc.).
Hanoi Social Insurance recommends that agencies, units, and educational and training institutions coordinate to widely inform employees, citizens, and parents of students about the above contents to raise vigilance and prevent impersonation and fraud.
