Building a cultural environment is an important task, contributing to improving the quality of life and preserving national identity. Up to now, many localities in Thanh Hoa province have been making efforts to effectively implement the movement "All people unite to build a cultural life" (TDĐKXDĐSVH), contributing to building typical communes with a civilized, affectionate and rich lifestyle.

Cultural and sports facilities in residential areas in Hoang Dong commune (Hoang Hoa) are invested in to be spacious and clean.

With many outstanding achievements in socio-economic development and cultural life building, in 2024, Hoang Dong commune was recognized as a "typical commune" of Hoang Hoa district. Here, the movement of physical training and sports to build a cultural life is increasingly going into depth, receiving positive responses from the community. In residential areas, a healthy cultural lifestyle is gradually being aroused; the spirit of solidarity and mutual love is increasingly promoted. Taking the lead in participating in environmental protection, building cultural life, and uniting to participate in economic development are residential areas such as Quang Trung village, Hong Thai village 1, Hong Thai village 2... Life is improved, cultural, artistic, physical training and sports activities in the commune are organized regularly, with many diverse, rich and attractive forms. Currently, together with the art groups and teams of the villages, Hoang Dong commune also maintains the effective operation of the folk art club, contributing to spreading traditional cultural values. Up to now, 5/5 villages of the commune have achieved the title of "cultural village", the rate of cultural families reaches 92%.

Chairman of the People's Committee of Hoang Dong Commune, Nguyen Huu Phuong, said: In order to further deepen the implementation of the movement of physical training and sports for building cultural life, we always pay attention to praising and encouraging typical collectives, individuals and residential areas in building a cultural environment. At the same time, we identify cultural families and cultural residential areas as the core, contributing to maintaining political security, social order and safety, and building a sustainable cultural environment. By 2024, 100% of households in the commune will practice a civilized lifestyle in weddings, funerals and festivals. This is an important driving force to promote socio-economic development and improve the quality of life of local people.

In Thuong Xuan district, Xuan Cao commune was recognized as a "typical commune" of the district in 2024. The whole commune currently has 1,367 households, most of whom are Thai and Muong ethnic groups (Thai ethnic group accounts for more than 42% and Muong ethnic group accounts for nearly 27%). Every year, the Steering Committee of the movement for physical training and sports to build a new cultural life in the commune has proactively developed a plan to implement the movement's contents, and at the same time guided residential areas to organize many practical and appropriate activities. Currently, 9/9 villages of the commune have been recognized as "cultural villages", the rate of cultural families has reached 80.7% and 100% of households have practiced a civilized lifestyle in weddings, funerals and festivals. In particular, some villages such as Xuan Minh 1, Xuan Minh 2, Xuan Thang, Vinh Quang, Thanh Tien... are residential areas that are always enthusiastic in taking the lead in implementing movements.

Chairman of Xuan Cao Commune People's Committee, Le Ba Tien, said: With the characteristics of a mountainous commune, the construction of a cultural environment still faces certain difficulties. Therefore, in the process of implementing and carrying out the movement of physical training and sports to build a cultural environment, it is necessary to closely follow the contents to have appropriate methods for the characteristics of each residential area. In particular, focusing on preserving and promoting the unique cultural values ​​of the Thai, Muong and Kinh ethnic groups in the commune. Up to now, cultural and artistic activities such as: stir-frying, Thai dancing, bamboo dancing, throwing con... are still maintained regularly by residential areas in the commune during holidays, New Year and National Unity Day. Along with that, the commune focuses on replicating typical examples in residential areas in implementing the 5 contents of the movement of physical training and sports to build a cultural environment to encourage and motivate people of all walks of life to participate in building a cultural environment. The results of the criteria for recognition of the titles of "Cultural Family", "Cultural Residential Area", and cultural agencies and units have annually met and exceeded the set targets. Thereby contributing to promoting local socio-economic development. In 2024, the average income per capita of the commune will reach 46 million VND/year, and the poverty rate will decrease to only 4.24%.

Building a cultural environment is not only a task but also a journey to preserve and promote the good values ​​of the community. The results achieved in the "typical communes" of Hoang Dong (Hoang Hoa), Xuan Cao (Thuong Xuan) and other typical communes and wards in the province are clear evidence of the attention of leadership and direction of all levels, sectors, local authorities and the responsibility of the community in building a cultural living environment, contributing to creating a solid foundation for socio-economic development.
