On March 25, in Hanoi, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Trade Union held the 2025 Ministry Trade Union Executive Committee Conference. Members of the Ministry Trade Union Executive Committee and representatives of trade unions of units attended the event.

In his opening speech, Chairman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Trade Union Do Ngoc Thuy emphasized that the Conference is an important occasion for the Executive Committee to build opinions and discuss work with specialized staff to effectively implement the union's tasks in 2025. In the first quarter of 2025, the Ministry's Trade Union participated in and organized a number of outstanding activities such as providing emergency support for union members, visiting and giving gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers and policy beneficiaries on the occasion of Lunar New Year, and the Returning to the Source program in Tuyen Quang to celebrate International Women's Day on March 8.

At the event, delegates discussed the 2025 work program and key activities towards the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the Industry (August 28, 1945 - August 28, 2025). In the immediate future, in April, the Ministry's Trade Union plans to organize main activities including visiting officers, soldiers and children on Bach Long Vi Island, a training conference in Lao Cai, a sports festival with 6 subjects (football, badminton, running, pickleball/tennis, golf), and a plan to inspect trade unions of units.

Notably, in August, the final round of the Mass Art Performance and the songwriting contest of the Diplomatic Sector will take place, contributing to creating an enthusiastic and exciting atmosphere among union members, practically celebrating the 80th anniversary of the Sector's tradition, the 75th anniversary of the Ministry's Trade Union's tradition, and contributing achievements to the patriotic emulation movement of the Vietnam Civil Servants' Trade Union.

In addition, at the conference, the Inspection Committee - Ministry Trade Union informed about the inspection and supervision work plan for 2025 for a number of public service unions and trade unions under the Ministry's Office. The plan aims to improve the quality and effectiveness of the Committee's operations, contribute to preventing and stopping violations of the charter, resolutions, directives and regulations of the trade union organization; evaluate and draw lessons from what has been done and what has not been done, the limitations and causes, and find timely corrective and remedial measures.

At the conference, representatives of the trade unions of the units gave many enthusiastic contributions to improve the quality of trade union activities, especially in caring for the material and spiritual life of union members. Delegates said that it is necessary to increase exchange activities, cultural and sports activities to unite union members, create a useful and healthy playground, and build a positive working environment.

Concluding the conference, Chairman of the Ministry's Trade Union Do Ngoc Thuy highly appreciated the sense of responsibility of the delegates, and at the same time called on all union officials and members to uphold the spirit of solidarity, initiative, creativity, and determination to successfully carry out the assigned tasks. Ms. Do Ngoc Thuy emphasized that the Ministry's Trade Union is not only an organization to protect the legitimate rights and interests of union members, but also a bridge and a driving force to promote patriotic emulation movements, contributing to the overall success of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The conference ended with high consensus, demonstrating the determination of all delegates in effectively implementing union activities, building a civilized and professional working environment, promoting the best capacity of each union member, and actively contributing to the country's diplomatic career.
