(QBĐT) - On the afternoon of March 25, the Provincial Party Standing Committee held its 79th conference to give opinions on the socio-economic situation, Party building work in the first quarter, key tasks in the second quarter and a number of other important contents.

The socio-economic situation in the first quarter of 2025 of the province has achieved remarkable results: Estimated GRDP increased by 7.84% over the same period last year; total state budget revenue is estimated at nearly 1,940 billion VND, up nearly 40% over the same period, reaching nearly 30% of the central budget estimate and 28% of the local budget estimate; winter-spring crop production is basically implemented according to plan; forestry production continues to achieve good results; industry develops stably; the number of tourists to Quang Binh is estimated at more than 1 million, up 4.5% over the same period; public health care, education and training continue to receive attention and focus; security and order are ensured...

Policies to support the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses for poor and near-poor households have been strongly implemented, and have become a widespread emulation movement throughout the province. Therefore, as of March 8, 908/1,553 houses have been started, reaching 58.4%.

Regarding Party building work, the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial Party Standing Committee and Party committees at all levels have closely followed the resolution and work program for 2025, focusing on prioritizing leadership and direction in implementing the mechanism of assignment and assigning specific responsibilities to implement the socio-economic development plan for 2025.

Timely concretize through the Action Program, plan and resolution of the Provincial People's Council to adjust the socio-economic development plan for 2025, in which the GRDP growth target is adjusted to reach 8% or more in accordance with the spirit of Conclusion No. 123-KL/TW, dated January 24, 2025 of the 13th Party Central Committee.

The work of preparing and organizing party congresses at all levels is being actively and seriously implemented by party committees and organizations at all levels. As of March 7, 15 grassroots party committees have held model congresses (including 10 party committees holding delegate congresses and 5 party committees holding party member congresses), 37 party committees and 2,542 grassroots party committees in the whole province have held congresses.

In the first quarter, the entire provincial Party Committee admitted 142 new party members; officially transferred 163 comrades to the Party; awarded Party badges in the third phase of February to 1,220 party members. The fields of inspection, supervision, internal affairs, mass mobilization, activities of the Front and mass organizations continued to be promoted.

Regarding the implementation of Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW of the 12th Party Central Committee, after the reorganization, the whole province has ended the activities of 6 party delegations, 3 party executive committees, 2 party committees under the Provincial Party Committee; reduced 8 departments, branches, 2 provincial-level public service units, 24 district-level specialized departments and offices, and 28 internal organizations.

In his concluding remarks at the conference, Provincial Party Secretary Le Ngoc Quang acknowledged the delegates' discussion opinions; at the same time, he emphasized 8 key groups of tasks that need to be implemented in the second quarter of 2025, focusing on a number of issues, such as: Synchronously and drastically deploying tasks and solutions to promote economic growth, ensuring the target of GRDP of 8% or more; effectively implementing the work of arranging and streamlining the political system apparatus, especially merging commune-level administrative units and building a two-level local government organization associated with the provincial merger roadmap. Focus on quickly stabilizing the operations of agencies and units after the arrangement, ensuring smoothness, efficiency, and good promotion of functions and tasks; continue to lead and direct the organization of party congresses at all levels to ensure progress and quality; promote comprehensive digital transformation in all socio-economic fields; Strengthen international cooperation, attract investment resources in science and technology and digital transformation, especially cooperation with large technology corporations such as Viettel; drastically implement administrative reforms, improve the investment and business environment, improve the provincial competitiveness index (PCI), the public administration and governance index (PAPI), the public administrative reform index (PAR-Index), the people's satisfaction index (SIPAS); focus on consolidating and comprehensively developing the fields of culture, society, education and health; maintain national defense and security, ensure social order and safety; continue to promote and improve the effectiveness of inspection, supervision, internal affairs, anti-corruption, waste, negativity...
