Improving knowledge and life skills of girls in Quang Binh

(QBĐT) - On the morning of March 25, in Dong Hoi City, Save the Children in collaboration with the Department of Education and Training (DET) held a conference to summarize the project "Young Generation Owns the Future".

The project "Young Generation Owns the Future" (referred to as the project) aims to improve the knowledge and life skills of girls in Quang Binh, helping them develop their potential and actively participate in the decision-making process in the family, school and society.

Seminar to share experiences and propose solutions to replicate project models.

Approved to be implemented from July 2024 to March 2025, the project has implemented the Girls Decide toolkit and the Learning through Play method of Save the Children to increase awareness and life skills for girls, help them understand their rights, build confidence and actively participate in decisions related to them.

Representatives of the Department of Education and Training highly appreciated the results achieved by the project for girls in Quang Binh province.

During the implementation process, the project has organized many diverse activities, such as: Establishing and operating a girls' club; organizing capacity building training for teachers and students; supporting the implementation of small project initiatives at schools by the girls' club; organizing direct and online communication forms at school and provincial levels; supporting computers, cameras, check-in corners and communication products for students and schools. The project's activities have attracted the active participation of 200 girls who are members of the club, 20 teachers in charge, and thousands of students, teachers and parents in the area.
