On March 11, Vice Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Duong Duc Tuan received and worked with a business delegation from Jiangsu Province (China). The meeting aimed to exchange information and enhance experience sharing in urban management and construction.
At the meeting, Mr. Ho Gia Tu - Chairman of Hang Nguyen Fountain Company - introduced typical projects and proposed ideas for lighting design, light shows, and water music in the Hoan Kiem Lake area of Hanoi. Mr. Ho Chinh Can - Chairman of Hung Nghiep Environment Group (Green Parks) - proposed cooperation between the two sides in designing landscapes and greenery in Hanoi, especially the Hoan Kiem Lake area.
Welcoming the business delegation, the Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee highly appreciated the capacity of Jiangsu companies. According to Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Duong Duc Tuan, projects of Chinese enterprises are currently mainly focused on the domestic market. He emphasized that projects in Vietnam need to be carefully studied due to their own characteristics.

Vice Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Duong Duc Tuan suggested some studies, such as: Hoan Kiem Lake area is a place with water surface characteristics, combining spiritual spaces, special location in traditional culture, building thematic lighting works according to taste, large scale is relatively difficult. Therefore, it is necessary to study a special lighting solution for Hoan Kiem Lake, design a special landscape. Study lighting options associated with the legend of Hoan Kiem Lake, light up spiritual spaces (Ngoc Island, Ngoc Son Temple), design and organize special landscapes for the historic inner city area.
The Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee also proposed considering the renovation and reconstruction of some potential spaces such as the Old Quarter, the old French Quarter, Thang Long Imperial Citadel, Co Loa, and West Lake. In particular, he emphasized the study of restructuring the West Lake space, implementing lighting art on Thanh Nien Street, and developing a park in the middle of the Red River.
Concluding the meeting, Mr. Duong Duc Tuan emphasized that the meeting with the Jiangsu Provincial Business Delegation was of great significance in laying the “foundation” for cooperation. Mr. Duong Duc Tuan assigned the Department of Construction to continue studying the possibility of cooperation with Jiangsu enterprises, and coordinate with the People’s Committees of Hoan Kiem and Tay Ho districts to propose suitable locations for implementation.
