(PLVN) - The 2024 Buckwheat Flower Festival will be held with many interesting experiences for visitors. Up to now, the locality has prepared the best conditions to welcome visitors to experience.
Following the success of previous festivals, the 10th buckwheat flower festival in 2024 with the theme "The land of flowers of nostalgia" will officially open at 8:00 p.m. on November 9 at the Youth Square of Dong Van district (Ha Giang province).

In order to create a difference from previous festival seasons, this year the locality has developed a plan to organize many experiential activities for tourists.
Accordingly, within the framework of the festival program, activities will take place such as: Competition to perform and introduce traditional costumes of ethnic groups in Dong Van district; demonstration and experience of linen weaving stages; hand embroidery of traditional costumes; making of daily necessities and traditional musical instruments.
At the same time, visitors can see booths displaying local cultural products, tourism products, agricultural products, cuisine and medicinal herbs.
In addition to the central festival area, cultural tourism villages also organize many cultural exchange activities, arts, and folk games for visitors to experience.

According to Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ha Giang province Trieu Thi Tinh, the province always wants to have something new in each festival but at the same time still ensures to preserve its own unique traditional features.
This year, despite being affected by storm Yagi, Ha Giang is still ready to have the best conditions for security, safety, and environment so that tourists can feel secure in returning to explore, especially during the peak season of buckwheat flowers.
There are currently no restrictions on tourists coming to Ha Giang province, and all safety conditions are guaranteed. National Highway 2 has been opened to traffic, tourist boats on the Nho Que River have resumed operations, and traffic on Ma Pi Leng Pass is no longer difficult.
Dong Van has planted 250 hectares of buckwheat, of which 51 hectares are key areas, concentrated in some communes such as: Van Chai, Pho Cao, Sung La, Sa Phin, Lung Cu, Dong Van town...
The Ha Giang buckwheat flower festival was first held in 2015 and has since become an annual event to promote the province's image and introduce its key products, contributing to the local economic and social development.
