With spiritual structures such as the 300-year-old Ba Pagoda system, the tallest bronze statue of Buddha Tay Bo Da Son in Asia, or the largest sandstone statue of Bodhisattva Maitreya in the world, Ba Den Mountain has made a strong impression on domestic and foreign tourists. After 5 years of operation, the modern cable car system that takes visitors to the top of the mountain in just 5 minutes has helped visitors conveniently touch the spectacular nature at an altitude of nearly 1,000m.

Not only famous for its system of majestic spiritual structures, Ba Den Mountain is also a unique cultural destination with large-scale festivals taking place all year round such as Ba Mountain Spring Festival, Buddha's Birthday, Ba Den Festival, Vu Lan Festival, or unique cultural weeks. On the top of the mountain, Sun World Ba Den Mountain tourist area is also considered a "fairyland" with many types of flowers, especially hundreds of thousands of colorful tulips blooming throughout the first 3 months of the year. In particular, every Saturday night, the lantern offering ceremony at the square at the foot of the statue of Buddha Tay Bo Da Son has become a sacred experience that all tourists and Buddhists do not want to miss.

Vesak 2025 - a "boost" for spiritual tourism in Tay Ninh

According to information from the International Committee for the Day of Vesak (ICDV) and the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, thousands of delegates from more than 80 countries and territories will attend the candle-lighting ceremony to pray for world peace on the top of Ba Den Mountain on May 8. To date, invitations have been sent to heads of state, supreme monks, and kings of India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, and 80 other countries to prepare for this important ceremony.

The 2025 Vesak Festival is expected to create a strong boost for Tay Ninh spiritual tourism, turning Ba Den Mountain into a pilgrimage site for Buddhists and tourists around the world. According to Most Venerable Phra Brahmapundit, Chairman of ICDV, within the framework of the 2025 Vesak Festival, there are many themes and contents, of which "Peace and Happiness" stands out.

“At Ba Den Mountain, I feel the foundation of Peace and Happiness through the Buddhist spirit and the image of Maitreya Bodhisattva, a symbol of joy and peace. Here, you can live in harmony with nature, and can share this tranquility and beauty with those around you, those who come to this land,” Venerable Phra Brahmapundit shared.

According to Ms. Nguyen Lam Nhi Thuy - Deputy General Director of Sun Group in the Southern region: “The candle lighting ceremony for peace within the framework of Vesak 2025 is a major event at Ba Den Mountain. Currently, we are urgently preparing for all stages from welcoming delegates to grand ceremonies such as the procession of Buddha's relics, the Bodhi tree planting ceremony and the lamp offering ceremony. We are ready to welcome hundreds of thousands, even millions of Buddhists and tourists from both inside and outside the country during Vesak week taking place next May”.

In addition to the positive impact on the image of Tay Ninh tourism, the Vesak festival also helps Tay Ninh in particular and Vietnam in general spread the message of peace, cooperation and sustainable development. With events such as welcoming the Vesak 2025 delegation and long-term development strategy, Ba Den Mountain not only affirms Tay Ninh's position on the world spiritual tourism map, but also creates a solid foundation to promote economic growth, attract investment and enhance the local image in the international arena.
