Solving investment procedures effectively and substantially for the benefit of the nation and people

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh requested the People's Committee of Quang Nam province to be responsible for closely following the settlement of investment procedures. It is necessary to focus on substance, efficiency, and fight against the disease of achievements, all for the benefit of the nation, the people, and the interests of the people.

During his working trip to Quang Nam, on the morning of February 8, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and the Central delegation visited and worked at the Chu Lai - Truong Hai Automobile Production and Assembly Complex (belonging to Truong Hai Group Joint Stock Company - THACO) in Nui Thanh district.

Accompanying the delegation were Mr. Nguyen Chi Dung, Minister of Planning and Investment; Mr. Tran Hong Minh, Minister of Transport; Mr. Pham Hoai Nam, Deputy Minister of National Defense, leaders of the Government Office, and leaders of Quang Nam province.

Speaking at the meeting, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh acknowledged, praised and highly appreciated the activities and achievements of THACO. After more than 2 years since the previous visit, THACO has had higher quality products, higher localization rate, more suitable prices, more digitalization and automation, created more jobs, contributed greatly to the budget, and promoted social responsibility. In particular, it has focused on research and development, promoted innovation and industrialization.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh requested THACO to be a pioneer in innovation, accelerate breakthroughs in growth, comprehensive development, actively promote digital transformation, green transformation, creative economy, ensure labor safety and a clean and green environment, and do a better job of participating in ensuring social security.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh also assigned the Ministry of Transport to immediately resolve procedures related to the investment in the Cua Lo route project for 50,000-ton ships entering Chu Lai port in the spirit of ensuring substance and efficiency.

"The People's Committee of Quang Nam province must be responsible for following up and doing it, possibly using the bidding tool, to reduce unnecessary procedures. But note that it is public and transparent, without negativity or waste. It is necessary to focus on substance, efficiency, and fight against the disease of achievement, all for the benefit of the nation, the people, and the people. I also propose that the Ministry of Transport research high-quality railway cars, THACO participate in the transfer of train car research, and then consider producing high-quality railway locomotives," said Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh.

Reporting to Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, Mr. Tran Ba ​​Duong, Chairman of THACO pledged to make efforts to implement strategic projects to form a new generation of multi-industry industrial ecosystem of THACO in Chu Lai - Quang Nam on the basis of industrial management, green, smart, modern and sustainable development. Meanwhile, the agricultural sector in 2024 has an estimated consolidated revenue of 2,000 billion VND, expected to reach more than 8,340 billion VND in 2025; the mechanical manufacturing and supporting industry sector has a total revenue of more than 10,700 billion VND in 2024, export revenue of 128 million USD...

THACO's total budget contribution in 2024 is more than 23,700 billion VND, of which the Quang Nam provincial budget contribution is more than 19,300 billion VND. The Group also creates jobs for more than 60,000 workers, 15,000 in Quang Nam alone.

On this occasion, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh visited the Chu Lai - Truong Hai Automobile Production and Assembly Complex and inspected the Chu Lai port and Chu Lai airport.
