Previously, a report from The Elec claimed that the Galaxy Z Flip7 will be equipped with the Exynos 2500 chip - this was confirmed by a leader of Samsung Electronics.
Specifically, Samsung officially named the Exynos 2500 chip during their earnings call a few months ago. Tech circles expect Samsung to use this chip for the Galaxy S25 and S25+ in markets outside of China, North America, and South Korea. However, the number of chips is not enough to equip the Galaxy S25 line, so the company has to buy the expensive Snapdragon 8 Elite chip for the Galaxy S25 line and the Exynos 2500 chip will be equipped for another model, possibly the Z Flip7.
However, new information suggests that yield issues may prevent the in-house chip from being equipped for the Z Flip7, with the device expected to launch with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite instead.
The original Z Flip7 prototypes were said to use the Exynos 2500 chip, but now those prototypes have disappeared and been replaced with a version using a Snapdragon chip.
It is known that Samsung has actively introduced Exynos into high-end product lines in the hope of reducing dependence on Qualcomm. Initially, Exynos 2500 was expected to equip the S25 line but due to poor productivity, it was canceled. And it seems that this continues to happen with the Z Flip7.
Previously, on social network X, an account named @PandaFlashPro said that Samsung has improved the hinge design on the Galaxy Z Flip7, helping to reduce the crease running in the middle of the foldable screen.
Leaks reveal that the Galaxy Z Flip7 supports 25W fast charging with the same design but thinner. The device will come with new Galaxy AI features to enhance the user experience.
