On the morning of March 12, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh and many Party and State leaders attended the groundbreaking ceremony of VSIP 2 Quang Ngai Industrial Park project.
VSIP 2 Quang Ngai Industrial Park project is built in Binh Hiep commune, Binh Son district with an area of over 497 hectares. Total investment capital is about 161 million USD.
The project's objective is to develop industrial parks associated with green growth and sustainable development, continuing to attract investors in industries applying science and technology, innovation and digital transformation in production and business activities.
It is expected that after completion, VSIP 2 Quang Ngai will create more motivation to attract the world's leading companies and corporations to Quang Ngai. Especially FDI projects with advanced, modern, environmentally friendly technology, creating jobs for about 50,000 workers.
In the next development phase, VSIP 2 Quang Ngai commits to continue prioritizing the use of green energy, renewable energy and applying 4.0 technology in monitoring industrial park operations.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh acknowledged the efforts of local authorities at all levels, the great sharing of people in the project area and highly appreciated the contributions of domestic and foreign investment enterprises, especially Singaporean enterprises in Vietnam, which have significantly contributed to the success and development of VSIP Quang Ngai as it is today.
"The success of VSIP Quang Ngai is a milestone in promoting comprehensive cooperation, deepening the cooperative relationship between Vietnam and Singapore," Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh emphasized.

In order for the VSIP 2 Quang Ngai Industrial Park project to be implemented on schedule and achieve the expected results, the Deputy Prime Minister requested Sembcorp and Becamex Groups to continue to effectively promote the model of industrial parks, urban areas, and services towards smart, modern, and sustainable industrial parks.
"At the same time, it is necessary to ensure that the industrialization process is in harmony with the community and develops a knowledge-based economy for the locality," said Mr. Binh.
The Deputy Prime Minister requested ministries, sectors and Quang Ngai province to actively guide legal procedures, site clearance, resettlement, etc. to support investors in implementing the project.
