The exhibition on vegetable, flower and fruit production and processing technology in Vietnam (HortEx Vietnam 2025) organized by Minh Vi Advertising and Service Company Limited (VEAS) in collaboration with partners, with the support of IPM Essen - the world's largest gardening exhibition - opened at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC, District 7, Ho Chi Minh City).

2025 also marks the first time that Agritechnica Asia - the expanded version of the world's leading agricultural exhibition from Germany (DLG) - accompanies HortEx Vietnam, bringing the most advanced farming technologies, machinery and agricultural equipment.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Tran Thanh Nam expected the exhibition to create momentum for innovation, connect producers, distributors with farmers, promote mechanization and develop sustainable agriculture.

"I hope the workshop and exhibition will not only help businesses and farmers raise awareness of the importance of applying technology in production to increase productivity and add value, but also promote sustainable agricultural development. At the same time, the event will encourage creativity and innovation in agriculture, opening up opportunities for talent and intelligence development," said Mr. Nam.

According to the Deputy Minister, despite facing many challenges, Vietnam's agricultural sector still achieved positive results with GDP increasing by 3.3% in 2024, agricultural exports exceeding 62 billion USD. The sector is strongly transforming to an agricultural economic model, applying high technology to increase value and develop sustainably.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development is also implementing the project "Sustainable development of 1 million hectares of high-quality, low-emission rice" in the Mekong Delta, opening up opportunities to improve the quality and competitiveness of Vietnamese agricultural products.

In addition to the exhibition space, HortEx Vietnam 2025 also organizes many specialized seminars to update new trends, a trade connection program (B2B Matching Program) and an export consulting area, creating an important bridge in expanding markets and promoting exports.

Join hands to cooperate and improve the quality of Vietnamese agricultural products

Within the framework of HortEx Vietnam 2025, the Association of Vietnamese Retailers (AVR) and the Vietnam Fruit and Vegetable Association (VINAFRUIT) signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to promote the linkage between retail and production and supply of fruits and vegetables.

The agreement contributes to strengthening the supply chain, improving quality, competitiveness and sustainable development of the Vietnamese vegetable, flower and fruit industry.
