According to 7News , the South Australian education department hopes that Vietnamese students who mysteriously disappeared in Adelaide will call the police to report their situation.
"The disappearance is a cause for concern for those involved and we hope the students will contact police to ensure their welfare," the South Australian Education Department said.
Previously, South Australian State Police (SAPOL) investigated the case of 5 Vietnamese students who disappeared without a trace in Adelaide between December 2023 and January 2024.

According to 7News TV channel, all 5 Vietnamese teenagers are said to be studying at Hamilton High School in the suburbs of Adelaide, South Australia.
Each person disappeared for a different period of time, including one who was missing for four weeks.
The most recent missing person is Sunnie Nguyen, 17, who was last seen at her homestay in South Plympton (an Adelaide suburb) on January 8.
SAPOL said police units are working together to locate the teenagers. The missing cases are being treated separately and police believe they are not related.
On January 11, police announced that they had located one of the missing students. However, the whereabouts of the other four remain unknown.
"All current lines of inquiry suggest some of the children may have travelled interstate and remain there. There is also no information to suggest they are in any danger," an Australian police spokesman said.
Police believe some of these Vietnamese students may have gone to other states and are safe.
Sunnie Nguyen’s host family told police that she seemed happy in Adelaide and had no reason to leave. She also had a three-year visa remaining.
Australian media reported that Ms. Zervaas then tried to contact Sunnie Nguyen, but her phone was turned off and her Instagram, Snapchat, and TikTok accounts were also deleted.
Lien Nguyen-Navas, representative of the Vietnamese Women's Association in Adelaide, "hopes that this is just a case of 17-year-olds wanting to get together somewhere and not let anyone know because they are on school break."
