(NLDO) - After a female student borrowed her friend's phone to call home and then lost contact, her family thought she was kidnapped and taken to a pine hill.
On March 3, the police of Ia Der commune, Ia Grai district, Gia Lai province are investigating the case of a female student named VHY (born in 2011, 7th grade student, Pham Hong Thai Secondary School, Pleiku city, Gia Lai province) being assaulted and beaten by a group of people.
According to initial information, female student VHY had a conflict with some friends outside of school. On the afternoon of February 25, a group of about 5 male and female teenagers asked VHY to come to the pine hill area in Ia Der commune, Ia Grai district to talk.
Working with the police, VHY said that after being beaten, he was scared and went to his friend's house, not kidnapped as rumored on social media.
When arriving at the pine hill area, VHY was taken into the pine hill area by a group of teenagers and assaulted, so he was scared and did not return home or go to school. On March 2, VHY used a friend's phone to call his brother to tell him what had happened, but then he could not be reached.
VHY's family then went to report to the Ia Der Commune Police and posted information on social media that "the child was kidnapped and beaten up on the pine hill of Ia Der Commune"... In addition, the family also asked anyone who saw the child to contact the family. The above information attracted the attention and shares of thousands of social media users.
Immediately after receiving the information, on the evening of March 2, Ia Der Commune Police quickly verified. Thereby, it was determined that VHY was at a friend's house in Ia Kha town, Ia Grai district. VHY said that after being beaten by his friend, he was scared and did not dare to go home, so he stayed at his friend's house.
Afterwards, the Ia Der Commune Police, Ia Grai District contacted VHY’s relatives to pick her up. Initial results determined that there was no kidnapping as some information shared on social networks. The police force requested a number of Facebook accounts and social networking sites to correct the content that caused public confusion.
