The State Bank has just announced the results of the SJC gold bar auction this morning, May 8.
Accordingly, there were 3 winning members with a total winning volume of 34 lots (3,400 taels of gold).
The only winning bid price was VND 86.05 million/tael, VND 750,000/tael higher than the reference price.
Thus, 3,400 taels of SJC gold bars were successfully auctioned out of a total of 16,800 taels auctioned by the State Bank.
This is the second successful auction out of four. The total amount of gold successfully auctioned after these two auctions is 6,800 taels.
In the previous successful auction on April 23, 2 members won the bid, with a total volume of 34 lots (3,400 taels). The highest winning bid was 82.33 million VND/tael, the lowest winning bid was 81.32 million VND/tael.
Regarding the domestic gold price movement at noon today, May 8, the price of SJC 9999 gold bars increased to regain the mark of 87.5 million VND/tael after cooling down at the beginning of the session.
The price of SJC gold bars set a new historical peak of VND87.5 million/tael on May 7. Compared to the end of last year, the price of SJC gold increased by VND13.5 million/tael (equivalent to 18.2%). This is a rare breakthrough in many years and is an increase that surpasses the world.
