Skytrax Awards, considered the "Oscars of the aviation industry", has just announced the list voted by passengers as the world's best airlines in 2024, including the sole representative of Vietnam.
Specifically, Vietnam Airlines ranked 45th, after names in Southeast Asia such as Singapore Airlines (2), Bangkok Airways (27), Thai Airways (33), Garuda Indonesia (34), Malaysia Airlines (39). Skytrax also ranked low-cost airlines, with Vietjet being the best low-cost airline in Vietnam. For the eighth time in the 25-year history of the prestigious Skytrax awards, Qatar Airways was named the world's best airline. This Middle Eastern airline with a fleet of 230 aircraft has built a reputation over the past decade, helping Hamad International Airport become a global aviation hub, challenging regional rivals Dubai and Abu Dhabi, according to CNN.
