(HNMO) - On May 17, Da Nang City Police held a preliminary review of 1 month of implementing the peak period of building and expanding the model of "Fire Prevention and Fighting Safety Interfamily Team" and "Public Fire Fighting Point".

Last month, Da Nang City Police also focused on propagating and training fire prevention and fighting skills, practicing fire fighting plans in residential areas; checking and instructing on ensuring fire prevention and fighting safety and mobilizing households to equip portable fire extinguishers and arrange a second escape route.

At the conference, Major Tran Cong Toan, Deputy Chief of Staff of Da Nang City Police, said: After 1 month of implementing the peak period, the police force, with its core role, together with local socio-political organizations, reviewed and built 146 models of "Fire Prevention and Fighting Safety Interfamily Teams" and 1,015 models of "Public Fire Fighting Points".

The authorities organized 531 fire prevention and fighting skills training sessions combined with fire fighting plan practice with the participation of 110,073 people. At the same time, the Da Nang City Police force inspected and instructed 110,486 households, mobilized 162,232 households to equip portable fire extinguishers, and 202,235 households to open a second escape route.

Concluding the Conference, Colonel Phan Van Dung, Deputy Director of Da Nang City Police, highly appreciated the results achieved and directed the local police, especially at the ward and commune levels, to urgently review, make an accurate and complete list and organize the implementation of the 4 goals set out in the peak period, especially the work of effectively building the model of "Fire Prevention and Fighting Safety Inter-family Team".

In addition, the police force continues to actively advise authorities at all levels; replicate good, flexible, creative practices and support units and localities during the peak period. On this occasion, the Director of the Da Nang City Police Department awarded Certificates of Merit to 5 groups and 11 individuals, and also "hotly rewarded" 2 million VND to Hai Chau District Police and Thanh Khe District Police for their outstanding achievements during the peak period.
