Cooperation agreement on digital transformation for the period 2022-2025

Attending the conference were Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Nguyen Van Ut; Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Pham Tan Hoa; Major General Do Minh Phuong - Deputy General Director of Viettel Group, along with representatives of the Provincial Police, Department of Education and Training, Department of Science and Technology; Department of Agriculture and Environment; Department of Finance; Department of Health; Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Department of Construction.

Leaders of the Provincial People's Committee, departments, branches and Viettel Group attended the conference.

At the conference, the parties watched a video and listened to a report on the implementation results of the cooperation agreement No. 4978/2022/TTHT/UBND-VIETTEL, dated December 17, 2022 on digital transformation for the period 2022 - 2025 between the People's Committee of Long An province and Viettel Group. Through the report, in the past time, the provincial departments and branches actively coordinated with Viettel Group to carry out 13/15 tasks according to the signed content.

Regarding digital infrastructure, Viettel Group has coordinated to launch the 5G network for the first time in major centers of the province in 2022. By the end of 2024, Viettel's 5G network will be present in the central areas of 7/15 districts, towns, and cities of the province.

At the same time, Viettel Group also actively and jointly implemented the program to support 4G phones for people to convert from 2G to 4G (Viettel supported giving free 4G phones to 15,355 customers who are poor households and have difficult circumstances), built stations for the province's Smart Camera Surveillance System and deployed a Level 2 dedicated data transmission network system throughout the province.

Regarding network information security, Viettel Group is providing network security monitoring solutions for the province's SOC Center, ensuring that the province's key information systems are professionally monitored for information security 24/7.

Regarding Digital Economy, the province coordinated with Viettel Long An to organize workshops to introduce digital platforms and digital services to promote digital transformation for the business community in industrial parks and clusters in the province.

Major General Do Minh Phuong - Deputy General Director of Viettel Group, requested the Provincial People's Committee to continue to closely coordinate with Viettel Group in implementing the signed cooperation contents.

Speaking at the conference, Major General Do Minh Phuong - Deputy General Director of Viettel Group, highly appreciated the achieved results; at the same time, requested the Provincial People's Committee to continue to closely coordinate with the Group to implement the signed contents in a more in-depth, positive, specific and measurable direction, bringing practical benefits to the people of the province.

Speaking in response to the Deputy General Director of Viettel Group, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Nguyen Van Ut suggested that the provincial departments and branches study and assess the needs of the province, take advantage of the existing strengths of Viettel Group to set requirements for cooperation and development in the fields of science and technology, culture, sports and tourism, health, education, agriculture, etc. to help the province accelerate the digital transformation process in each sector, field, and locality, towards building a modern and friendly administration for the benefit of people and businesses in the province.
