17 historical - cultural relics and city-level scenic spots, phase 1, 2025
According to Decision No. 1168/QD-UBND of the Hanoi People's Committee dated February 28, 2025, there are 17 historical - cultural relics and scenic spots in the city that are ranked at the city level in the first phase of 2025. They are:
Hoang Mai District has Yen Duyen Communal House Historical and Cultural Relic, Yen So Ward.
Long Bien District has 2 relics: Gia Thuong communal house historical and cultural relic, Rung temple historical and cultural relic, Ngoc Thuy ward, Long Bien district.
My Duc district has: Cong So Pagoda Historical and Cultural Relic (Linh Tam Tu - Hong Son commune), Cong So Communal House Historical and Cultural Relic (Hong Son commune), Tong Trinh Tiet Communal House - Temple Historical and Cultural Relic (Dai Hung commune), Trinh Tiet Pagoda Historical and Cultural Relic (Huong Phuc Tu - Dai Hung commune), Tho Village Pagoda Historical and Artistic Relic (Trung Quang Tu - Hop Thanh commune), Phu Yen Communal House Historical and Cultural Relic (Huong Son commune), Le Xa Communal House Historical and Artistic Relic (Le Thanh commune).
Hoai Duc district has the following relics: Bao Thap Pagoda Cultural Historical Relic (Hong Pagoda - Tram Troi town), Ngoc Tan Pagoda Historical - Artistic Relic (Ngoc Tan Tu - Yen So commune), Duc Tien Chua Temple Cultural Historical Relic (Dong La commune), Ha Quan Cultural Historical Relic (Vai Quan - Van Con commune), Que Duong Communal House Historical - Artistic Relic, Pho Am Pagoda (Cat Que commune).
Son Tay town has: Tay Vi Pagoda Historical - Artistic Relic (Linh Son Tu), Tay Vi Communal House Historical - Artistic Relic (Thanh My commune).
The City People's Committee requests that, after the relic is ranked, the People's Committees of the districts: Hoang Mai, Long Bien, My Duc, Hoai Duc, Son Tay are responsible for publicizing the protected area of the relic; organizing the establishment of boundary marker records and implementing boundary marker planting in the field according to their authority and current legal regulations. The People's Committees of wards and communes: Yen So (Hoang Mai), Ngoc Thuy (Long Bien), Hong Son, Dai Hung, Hop Thanh, Huong Son, Le Thanh (My Duc), Tram Troi, Yen So, Dong La, Van Con, Cat Que (Hoai Duc), Thanh My (Son Tay) issued a Decision to establish the Relic Management Board. Localities organize the management of the site and space of the relic, all artifacts belonging to the relic, activities to protect and promote the value of the relic, and use the revenue of the relic according to the provisions of Decision No. 48/2016/QD-UBND dated November 17, 2016 and Decision No. 31/2021/QD-UBND dated December 29, 2021 of the Hanoi People's Committee on promulgating regulations, amending and supplementing a number of articles of the regulations on management, protection and promotion of the value of historical - cultural relics and scenic spots in Hanoi.
Preserve and promote the value of relics to pass on to future generations.
Honored and proud to be one of the relics ranked at the city level, artisan Hoang Xuan Mai - Head of the Historical and Cultural Relic of the Rung Temple, Ngoc Thuy Ward, Long Bien District, Hanoi City said: After receiving the ranking certificate, the Management Board will organize a program to review the legend of Thanh Linh Lang and Chua Ba Thuong Ngan so that local people and tourists have the opportunity to better understand the spiritual value as well as the great contributions of the saints and ancestors to the homeland to pass on to future generations. As the head of the temple, artisan Xuan Mai believes that spirituality is "belief" and not "obsession", so he has been propagating to the masses about not burning votive paper to ensure civilized places of worship and avoid environmental pollution.
Head of the Department of Culture, Science and Information of Son Tay Town Nguyen Hai Anh shared: Son Tay is very happy to have 2 relics ranked this time. Therefore, the members of the Management Board of the 2 relics are very excited and nervous to attend today's Conference. We promise that in the coming time, the authorities and people of the places where the relics are ranked will do a better job of preserving and promoting the value of the relics and spreading these values more widely to the people.
After listening to the opinions of the delegates, Director of the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports Bach Lien Huong highly appreciated the sentiment, responsibility, enthusiasm and efforts of the local authorities and people, the Relic Management Board in managing the relics, places of worship of the localities and the 17 relics ranked this time. He also emphasized: These are the heritages that will be left for future generations, so being ranked is an opportunity for the relics to be invested in restoration and embellishment to promote their value in cultural life as well as contribute to educating the cultural and historical traditions for the younger generation.
Director of the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports Bach Lien Huong also highly appreciates the viewpoint of the Head of the Forest Temple - artisan Hoang Xuan Mai that spirituality is "belief" not "obsession". Hopefully, the management boards of communal houses, temples and pagodas will do a good job of propaganda to guide people to spiritual places with a pure and healthy heart; live a good life and follow the religion to contribute to building the cultural life of the capital to be more civilized and better.
Congratulating the local authorities and people, the Management Board of the relics awarded the city-level relic ranking certificate this time, comrade Bach Lien Huong also hopes that this joy will continue to spread to the masses through the reception and honoring ceremonies of the relics in the locality. However, localities need to note that the organization of receiving the city-level relic certificate should also be organized solemnly, economically, ensuring civilization with appropriate time and in accordance with regulations.
Emphasizing the management and promotion of relic values, the Director of the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports suggested: For ranked relics, the restoration, embellishment, protection, and arrangement of the inner temple all have separate regulations, so localities need to implement management work in accordance with regulations, avoiding changing the current status of the relics. According to comrade Bach Lien Huong, the 17 relics ranked at the city level this time are the efforts of local authorities at all levels in preparing records and the approval process, so localities continue to review relics and heritages in the area so that in the future there will be more relics recognized and ranked. Along with managing and promoting the value of relics, the Director of the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports suggested that local authorities also need to promote the digitization of relics, apply digital technology in record keeping, relic management, create favorable conditions for management, restoration, and embellishment, while at the same time being consistent with the current general trend of digital transformation.
