According to a quick report from the provincial Department of Agriculture and Environment, after the March 8 holiday, the prices of some types of Da Lat flowers have decreased sharply compared to last week.

Specifically, chrysanthemum bunches are 8,000 VND/bunch, down 4,000 VND/bunch; chrysanthemum branches are 16,000 VND/dozen, down 8,000 VND/dozen; gerberas are 25,000 VND/dozen, lisianthus is 75,000 VND/kg, both down 5,000 VND; carnations are 30,000 VND/bunch, down 8,000 VND/bunch; colored roses and red roses from Da Lat are 12,000 - 15,000 VND/dozen, down 25,000 - 26,000 VND/dozen compared to the previous period.

Meanwhile, the prices of many types of Da Lat vegetables have also decreased in recent days. Of which, beetroot is 4,000 VND/kg, green onion is 5,000 VND/kg, both decreased by 1,000 VND/kg; climbing beans are 8,000 VND/kg, decreased by 2,000 VND/kg; broccoli is 5,000 VND/kg, spinach is 22,000 VND/kg, both decreased by 3,000 VND/kg; tomatoes are 7,000 VND/kg, decreased by 7,000 VND/kg; Da Lat bell peppers are 22,000 VND/kg, decreased by 13,000 VND/kg.

According to the Department of Agriculture and Environment, due to a decrease in the consumption market, the prices of some vegetables, tubers and fruits in Da Lat and surrounding areas have decreased sharply compared to the previous period.

Many types of flowers have reduced prices due to slow consumption market.

According to statistics as of March 18, for vegetables, the province has planted a total of 27,985 hectares (reaching 91.16% compared to the same period in 2024); harvested area of ​​24,006 hectares; harvested output of nearly 933,591 tons (up 10.71% compared to the same period in 2024).

For flowers, the total cultivated area of ​​the province is 4,275 hectares (reaching 98.37% compared to the same period in 2024); the harvested area is 4,179.4 hectares, the harvested output is 1.7 billion branches (up 8.9% compared to the same period in 2024).

Da Lat City alone will plant 6,200 hectares of various flowers in 2024, with an output of over 2.6 billion branches. Meanwhile, the entire city currently has over 5,000 hectares of vegetables, with nearly 3,000 hectares of high-tech vegetables grown in greenhouses and net houses.
