[Photo] Overview of the Workshop "Removing policy shortcomings to promote the role of the private economy in the Vietnamese economy"

The workshop was attended by leaders of ministries, departments, and branches of the Central Government and Ho Chi Minh City; representatives of state management agencies; speakers and leading economic experts such as Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Dinh Thien, Dr. Tran Du Lich, Dr. Nguyen Duc Kien, Dr. Can Van Luc...; and representatives of 250 enterprises.

Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Hoa, Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City Business Association, answered press interviews on the sidelines of the conference.

The workshop aims to provide an overview of the role, potential and challenges of the private economic sector, clarify policy shortcomings that are hindering the development of this sector, propose solutions to remove them so that the private economy can truly become the country's leading growth engine, and contribute ideas to the upcoming draft resolution of the Politburo.

Comrade Le Quoc Minh, member of the Party Central Committee, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission, President of the Vietnam Journalists Association delivered the opening speech at the conference.

Comrade Thai Thanh Quy, Deputy Head of the Central Policy and Strategy Committee, gave a speech directing the workshop.

Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Dinh Thien, former Director of the Vietnam Economic Institute, presented a paper at the conference.

The workshop was attended by more than 250 representatives of private enterprises.

Dr. Can Van Luc, Economic Expert, Member of the National Financial and Monetary Policy Advisory Council presented a paper at the workshop.

Dr. Nguyen Duc Kien, former Head of the Prime Minister's Economic Advisory Group, expressed his views at the workshop.
