On February 28, Lao Cai Provincial Party Committee held a conference to announce the decisions of the Standing Committee of Lao Cai Provincial Party Committee on personnel of leaders and managers to serve the arrangement, streamlining of the organizational apparatus and consolidation of a number of agencies and units of Lao Cai province.
At the conference, the Lao Cai Provincial Party Committee's Organizing Committee announced the decision of the Party agencies. Accordingly, Mr. Duong Duc Huy, member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Propaganda Department was assigned to hold the position of Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department.
The Standing Committee of Lao Cai Provincial Party Committee appointed Mr. Hoang Dang Khoa, Chairman of Lao Cai City People's Committee, to hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee (full-time) of Lao Cai Provincial Party Committee. Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Dinh Minh Ha was transferred to hold the position of Chairman of the Provincial Women's Union.
The Director of the Department of Home Affairs announced the decisions on establishment, merger and appointment of leaders of departments under the Provincial People's Committee.
Accordingly, Mr. Tran Minh Sang, Secretary of Bao Thang District Party Committee, was appointed as Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment. Mr. Vu Lan, Director of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment, was appointed as Deputy Director of the Department of Finance.
Mr. Vu Hung Dung, Director of the Department of Information and Communications, holds the position of Director of the Department of Science and Technology.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Hai Anh, Director of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, was transferred to hold the position of Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
Mr. Phi Cong Hoan, Director of the Department of Construction, holds the position of Director of the Department of Construction after merging with the Department of Transport.
Mr. Phan Trung Ba, Director of the Department of Planning and Investment, holds the position of Director of the Department of Finance.
Head of the Ethnic Committee Nguyen Xuan Nhan holds the position of Director of the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions. Mr. Nguyen Van Minh continues to hold the position of Director of the Department of Home Affairs.
In addition, the Conference announced the Decision to establish two provincial construction boards on the basis of merging and consolidating provincial construction boards.
Ms. Ly Thi Vinh, member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Mass Mobilization Committee, holds the position of Secretary of the Bao Thang District Party Committee. Mr. Nguyen Quoc Huy, Director of the Department of Transport, was appointed to hold the position of Chairman of the Lao Cai City People's Committee. The above decisions take effect from March 1, 2025.
