Hai Duong has 5 new department leaders, basically completing the streamlining of the apparatus.

Hai Duong province has just held a conference to announce the decision on reorganizing the apparatus of specialized agencies under the Provincial People's Committee and personnel work.

At the conference, the decision to appoint leaders of 5 merged departments was announced: Department of Home Affairs, Department of Agriculture and Environment, Department of Construction, Department of Finance, Department of Science and Technology; decision to appoint leaders of the Provincial Party Committee's Organizing Committee and Deputy Directors of the Departments of Education and Training, Culture, Sports and Tourism.

The conference announced the decision to appoint 5 department leaders after the merger.

According to the decisions, Mr. Bui Van Thang, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, holds the position of Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment; Mr. Nguyen Cao Thang, Director of the Department of Information and Communications, holds the position of Director of the Department of Science and Technology; Mr. Nguyen Trong Tue holds the position of Director of the Department of Finance; Ms. Sai Thi Yen holds the position of Director of the Department of Home Affairs; Mr. Nguyen Hoai Long holds the position of Director of the Department of Construction.

At the conference, Hai Duong Provincial Party Secretary Tran Duc Thang said that Hai Duong has basically completed the task of streamlining the organizational apparatus according to the direction of the Central Government.

Hai Duong province also announced the merger of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department, ending the activities of 3 Party executive committees, 8 Party delegations, and the Party Committee of the Provincial Agencies Bloc to establish 2 Party committees directly under the Provincial Party Committee to consolidate the personnel of the newly established organizations.

Up to now, the specialized agencies under the Provincial People's Committee have reduced 5 departments, down to 99 divisions, reaching over 23%; the district level has reduced 24 specialized divisions.

The apparatus of Hai Duong Provincial People's Committee after streamlining the apparatus has 12 departments and branches including Department of Home Affairs; Department of Finance; Department of Science and Technology; Department of Agriculture and Environment; Department of Justice; Department of Industry and Trade; Department of Health; Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Department of Education and Training; Office of the Provincial People's Committee and Provincial Inspectorate.
