On the morning of March 13, police officers and soldiers recounted the breathtaking moment when they rescued a pregnant girl who fainted in a crowd of tens of thousands of people at the Light Festival at 10-3 Square, Buon Ma Thuot City (Dak Lak) last night.

A mobile police officer said that when he discovered the unconscious girl in the middle of a crowd of people, he used a searchlight to illuminate the position of a young man carrying the victim.

"I used a professional light to guide the young man and help him bring the girl to the iron fence on the right side of the stands. Then we opened the way to bring her to the stands for first aid," he said.

Captain Vu Thai Dac - an officer of the Internal Political Security Department of Dak Lak Provincial Police - who directly carried the girl out of the crowd - said that when they reached a safe area, the female police officers checked and discovered that she was pregnant.

In the face of the emergency, the police and riot police quickly coordinated to clear a path through the crowd to get the victim out. At the same time, they also assisted relatives and friends to approach and take the girl to the hospital. Immediately afterwards, a special police vehicle promptly transported the victim to the emergency room.

Thanks to quick response and coordination, the girl was saved and is now in stable health.

Earlier, on the evening of March 12, at the festival, when the art program entered the main acts, the number of spectators flocking to the stage increased, leading to a situation of jostling and pushing. Some people were stuck near the iron fence, including the girl above, making her unable to move and then fainting.
