Tan Son Nhat will test the operation of domestic passenger terminal T3 Tan Son Nhat, but the official operation time will be after the peak period of April 30 and May 1, 2025.

That is the latest information announced by Tan Son Nhat International Airport to the press on the afternoon of March 13. This person said that Tan Son Nhat has developed a tentative plan to operate the T3 domestic passenger terminal.
In the immediate future, it is expected to operate domestic flights of Vietnam Airlines and Vietjet. The port will conduct a practical test operation at the T3 domestic passenger terminal before its inauguration on April 30, 2025, as directed by the Prime Minister.
"Domestic passenger terminal T3 will officially operate after the peak period from April 30 to May 1" - Tan Son Nhat announced.
Domestic flights of the remaining four airlines, Vasco, Bamboo Airways, Vietravel Airlines, and Pacific Airlines, continue to operate at Domestic Passenger Terminal T1.
Tan Son Nhat T3 passenger terminal project started construction in December 2022 with a total investment of up to VND 10,990 billion.
The project includes four main items: passenger terminal, multi-storey car park with integrated non-aviation services, overpass system in front of the terminal and aircraft parking area.
The highlight of Terminal T3 is its modern design with two separate departure and arrival levels, equipped with 89 traditional check-in counters, 20 automatic baggage drop counters, 42 check-in kiosks, 26 boarding gates and 25 security control gates.
When completed, the terminal will have a capacity of more than 20 million passengers per year and serve 7,000 passengers during peak hours.
Previously, Tan Son Nhat denied information circulating on social media that Terminal T3 at Tan Son Nhat International Airport (HCMC) will officially come into operation from May 5, 2025.
