Hue City organizes many cultural and tourist activities in March and April.

Accordingly, on March 21 and 22, the first Vietnamese Martial Arts Quintessence Festival will take place at Ngo Mon and Vo Mieu areas. This will certainly be an attractive destination for those who love traditional martial arts.

The National Tourism Year - Hue 2025 will open at 8:00 p.m. on March 25 on the banks of the Perfume River in front of Hue National High School with an impressive art program on a large stage covering from the water surface to the shore. The rich melodies of six cultural regions in the country with more than 3,000 professional and non-professional actors, combined with water screens, visual mapping, floor LEDs, pyrotechnic effects, hot air balloons, paragliding, heavy smoke, sound and light installations..., promise to be a lively and attractive cultural party.

After the opening night, on March 26, Hue was bustling with exhibition activities, celebrating the 50th anniversary of liberation.

In particular, for the first time, the two newly established districts of Hue city, Thuan Hoa and Phu Xuan, will jointly organize a traditional boat race. The racetrack stretches from the Dong Ba River to the Huong River, in front of the park named after musician Trinh Cong Son. The colors of the athletes' costumes, the cheers, the bustling sounds of drums, alum and countless splashes of water will certainly bring excitement to the audience.

Just two days after the performance on the river, in the mountainous district of A Luoi, the Ca Tu, Ta Oih, and Pa Co boys and girls will play the flute and gong to invite visitors to the A Luoi Highland Spring Festival. The festival takes place over two days, March 28 and 29, at the A Luoi Ethnic Culture Village. In this space, visitors will immerse themselves in the songs and dances that sway the mountains and forests, and enjoy the typical dishes of the people living along the Truong Son mountain range, with a touch of the Northwest culinary culture.

Leaving A Luoi, visitors return to the Perfume River, following the procession up the river to Ngoc Tran Mountain, where there is Hue Nam Temple worshiping the holy mother Thien YA Na, which locals call Hon Chen Temple, to join the followers of the Mother Goddess religion in wandering, transforming into gods and goddesses, intoxicated in songs and dances... Hue Nam Temple Festival takes place over two days, March 30 - April 1.

During the VNExpress Marathon Hue on April 6, Hue is also expected to have a Hue Mega Booming music night with folk melodies performed in a new style with a modern orchestra.

A playground for those who love ornamental creatures is also opened in April, lasting for five days from April 10 to April 14 along the Perfume River.

From April 26 to May 1, many events will take place in Hue, including a Music Festival for young people scheduled from April 29 to May 1; Hue International Cuisine Exchange Program (April 28 to May 3) and activities to celebrate the National Reunification Day - a peaceful Tet holiday.

April is also the opening month for the Summer Festival with the theme "Shining Capital" lasting from April to June in the Heritage City - a typical Festival City of Vietnam.
