MediaTek just launched the Dimensity 9400 chip not long ago, but recently, sources said that its improved version is being researched. The new chip called Dimensity 9400+ possesses extremely powerful performance.
Famous leaker Digital Chat Station revealed about the Dimensity 9400+ chip through information: Oppo will launch three flagship models in the first half of next year with screen sizes of 6.3 inches, 6.6 inches and 6.8 inches respectively, all 3 models will use the Dimensity 9400+ chip.
Unfortunately, DCS did not share the specifications of MediaTek's next high-end SoC, but it is likely to be a slightly upgraded version of the Dimensity 9400. The company has already done the same with the Dimensity 9300 and Dimensity 9300+ duo.
Although the specifications of the new chip have not been revealed, it is likely that it will be an upgraded version of the Dimensity 9400 (similar to the Dimensity 9300 and Dimensity 9300+ duo.
So, it's possible that the new chip will ship with a higher clock speed, come with a faster APU, and the GPU may also get a clock speed boost compared to the Dimensity 9400. These are just some minor improvements in specifications, but it's considered MediaTek's answer to the overclocked version of Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite chip.
Qualcomm's latest high-end processor is known to run at a clock speed of 4.32 GHz, with enough cooling that frequency can reach 4.57 GHz allowing it to reach new heights in single-core performance.
Currently, the Dimensity 9400's Cortex-X925 can reach 3.63 GHz, so MediaTek can tweak the Dimensity 9400+ to reach clock speeds above 3.70 GHz.
