Not long ago, a source from Hankyung (Korea) said that the Galaxy S25, S25+ and S25 Ultra will use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor for Galaxy globally. Although the company previously announced to use the Exynos 2500 chip for the S25 and S25+, the latest report said that they have changed their decision.
And recently, Google's latest report continues to fuel speculation that the Galaxy S25 will have a version equipped with the Dimensity 9400 chip.
In a statement on September 26, Google Deepmind mentioned: "External organizations are also applying and building on AlphaChip. For example, MediaTek - one of the world's leading chip design companies, has expanded AlphaChip to accelerate the development of their most advanced chips - such as the Dimensity Flagship 5G used in Samsung phones - while improving power, performance and chip area."
It is known that Samsung has never used Dimensity 900 series chips for high-end phones. So, if Google's statement is true, it is likely that the Galaxy S25 and S25+ will use Dimensity 9400 processors globally.
Using the Dimensity chip will help Galaxy S25 users worry less about performance and temperature - problems that always exist on the Exynos version.
Samsung has used the Dimensity 9300+ chip on the recently launched Galaxy Tab S10 series instead of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy as planned. This is a sign that the company is ready to bring the top-of-the-line MediaTek processor to the upcoming Galaxy S series.
