Kinhtedothi - The Ministry of Construction has just sent a document to the People's Committees of Binh Phuoc and Dong Nai provinces, requesting the two localities to soon agree on a plan to expand DT753 route and invest in restoring Ma Da bridge, in order to create a convenient connection between the two provinces.

According to information from the Ministry of Construction, on January 25, the Government Office sent an official dispatch to the Ministry of Transport (now the Ministry of Construction), informing Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha of the direction on implementing the direction of General Secretary To Lam.

The General Secretary requested to study the proposal of Binh Phuoc province on investing in expanding DT753 road (in Binh Phuoc province) to connect with DT761 road (in Dong Nai province) through Ma Da bridge.

Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha has assigned the Ministry of Transport to preside over and coordinate with relevant agencies and localities to study the proposal of Binh Phuoc province. The goal is to propose an optimal transport connection plan and report to the Prime Minister.

On February 17, the Ministry of Transport had a meeting with the leaders of Binh Phuoc province to discuss this proposal. However, in order to have a basis to report to the Prime Minister, the Ministry of Construction requested the People's Committee of Binh Phuoc province to soon coordinate with the People's Committee of Dong Nai province to agree on an investment plan to expand DT753 road, connecting with DT761 road via Ma Da bridge, and send an official document to the Ministry of Construction for synthesis and processing.

Previously, Binh Phuoc province sent a dispatch to the Ministry of Transport proposing to restore Ma Da bridge and build a route through Dong Nai province to connect with Long Thanh airport and Cai Mep - Thi Vai deep-water port. Binh Phuoc Provincial People's Committee said that according to the planning approved by the Prime Minister, DT753 route from DT741 road to Ma Da bridge will be upgraded to National Highway 13C, connecting with DT761 road at Ma Da bridge and DT762 road of Dong Nai province, heading to National Highway 1 to Long Thanh airport and Cai Mep - Thi Vai port.

Along this route, Binh Phuoc province is planning the Dong Nam Dong Phu Industrial Park with an area of over 4,000 hectares, requiring modern transport infrastructure to connect with economic centers and seaports of neighboring provinces, especially Dong Nai.

In terms of national defense, National Highway 13 and Road DT741 are identified as the shortest support routes for Binh Phuoc. Meanwhile, Road DT753, although not yet a vital traffic route, has important strategic significance in the defense area of Military Region 7 and the Southern battlefield.

In addition, DT753 road has its starting point in Dong Xoai city and its ending point at Ma Da bridge, considered the shortest and fastest route to connect the Central Highlands provinces (via Binh Phuoc) with Dong Nai province.

Regarding environmental issues, the People's Committee of Binh Phuoc province said that through a field survey, only about 2 km of road passes through natural forest, the remaining 29 km is planted forest (mainly cajuput trees). Therefore, the province proposed solutions such as building elevated roads, overpasses, noise barriers, or open-air tunnels similar to the Ho Chi Minh route through Bach Ma and Cuc Phuong national forests, to minimize the impact on the Dong Nai biosphere reserve.

The expansion of DT753 road and restoration of Ma Da bridge not only brings great economic benefits but also has strategic significance in terms of national defense and transportation, contributing to promoting the socio-economic development of both Binh Phuoc and Dong Nai provinces and neighboring areas.
