During the Lunar New Year holidays, Quy Nhon Port still actively operates to meet customer needs without disrupting the supply chain.
Mr. Ho Lien Nam, Deputy General Director of Quy Nhon Port Joint Stock Company, said that during the 2025 Lunar New Year holidays, the port will still receive container ships entering the port to load cargo. Particularly on the first and second days of the Lunar New Year, the port will receive 3 container ships entering to load cargo.
It is estimated that during this year's Tet holiday, Quy Nhon Port will receive about 10 ships to load and unload goods. This number has increased compared to last year.
According to Mr. Nam, during Tet, usually only foreign ships operate normally according to schedule. As for domestic ships, many ships are closed, but there are also import-export ships that are still operating normally according to their pre-arranged schedules. Because at this time, many land transport vehicles are also closed for Tet.
To ensure the loading and unloading of goods and the rapid release of ships, Quy Nhon Port has arranged for a staff of port operators to operate 24/7 to meet the needs of customers. During these days, employees' salaries will be increased by 300% according to regulations.
At the same time, to support customers, the port also applies a policy of free storage of containers and does not increase service fees.
