Attending the conference were comrade Nguyen Van Nen - Politburo member, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee; comrade Nguyen Thanh Tam - member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Organizing Committee, former Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, former Chairman of the Tay Ninh Provincial People's Council; comrade Nguyen Thanh Ngoc - Deputy Minister of Justice, former Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and leaders of Central Party agencies.
On the provincial side, there were former members of the Party Central Committee, former Secretaries of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Thi Minh, Le Thi Ban, Vo Van Phuong; members of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, members of the Standing Committee, the Provincial Party Executive Committee, leaders of departments, branches, units and localities.
At the conference, Deputy Head of the Central Organizing Committee Nguyen Thanh Tam announced the decision of the Politburo to approve comrade Nguyen Manh Hung - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee to hold the position of Secretary of the Tay Ninh Provincial Party Committee and appoint him to join the Party Committee of Military Region 7 for the 2020-2025 term.
Comrade Nguyen Manh Hung was born on January 2, 1974; hometown: Hiep Hoa commune, Cau Ngang district, Tra Vinh province; professional qualification: Bachelor of Economics; political theory: Advanced.
Comrade Nguyen Manh Hung has held the following positions: Deputy Chief of Office of the Provincial People's Committee, Director of the Department of Planning and Investment, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Secretary of the Go Dau District Party Committee, Secretary of the Tay Ninh City Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Tay Ninh Provincial People's Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and delegate of the Provincial People's Council for the 2021-2026 term.
On March 18, comrade Nguyen Manh Hung was elected by the Provincial Party Executive Committee to hold the position of Provincial Party Secretary for the 2020-2025 term and was elected by the 10th Tay Ninh Provincial People's Council to hold the position of Chairman of the Provincial People's Council for the 2021-2026 term.
Speaking at the conference, comrade Nguyen Van Nen - Politburo member, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee congratulated comrade Nguyen Manh Hung on being entrusted by the Politburo with a new responsibility.
He emphasized that Tay Ninh is a revolutionary land, a place with a heroic base of the Central Office for Southern Vietnam that has gone through many glorious historical stages. This land has made many contributions to the cause of fighting for national independence, unifying the country and building and protecting the southwestern border area of the Fatherland.
The Politburo's consideration and appointment is based on the trust of the Provincial Party Executive Committee and the trust in assigning this important responsibility to comrade Nguyen Manh Hung based on the recognition of his contributions in many working positions and excellent completion of assigned tasks.
On behalf of the Politburo and previous generations of leaders, comrade Nguyen Van Nen expressed his belief and hope that the new Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Manh Hung will continue to promote the spirit of solidarity, dynamism, creativity, daring to think and act, mobilizing resources in the political system, the people, and the business community, contributing to building an increasingly developed homeland.
Focus on efforts to well implement the political tasks assigned by the Provincial Party Congress for the 2020-2025 term, especially at a time when the whole country is accelerating and making breakthroughs in development and Tay Ninh is one of the localities committed to the Central Government to strive to achieve growth of 8%-10%.
Comrade Nguyen Van Nen said that at this time, the whole country is carrying out a revolution to organize the apparatus, the staff to be lean, strong, effective, efficient, and effective, and at the same time to arrange administrative units to be more compact. According to the spirit of the draft, the number of provinces, including Tay Ninh province, will be reduced by half, the district level will no longer exist, and the commune level will be reduced by more than 60%.
This is the strongest, fastest, most thorough arrangement ever and is also an opportunity for Tay Ninh to rearrange its organizational apparatus, to truly be a government serving the people, improving the quality of life and the value of people's lives.
To do that, comrade Nguyen Van Nen suggested that the province must quickly and effectively implement Resolution No. 57 of the Politburo on scientific and technological breakthroughs, innovation and national digital transformation, considering this a new productive force that contributes significantly to helping the political system complete its tasks in the new situation.
Regarding the organization of the new term Congress, Politburo member and Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Van Nen noted the preparation for the implementation of the new Politburo Directive 35 on Party Congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Party Congress. This term's Congress will have many innovations, first of all innovations in documents and when the province is merged, there will be no more district level, the grassroots level must organize the Congress with a new mindset, new confidence, and a higher sense of responsibility.
Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Van Nen hopes that the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, and Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee will always promote the tradition of solidarity, dynamism, creativity, and promptly carry out political tasks with the highest sense of responsibility, contributing to the development of the homeland to become increasingly prosperous according to the dreams and expectations of many generations.

Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Manh Hung reported to Politburo member, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Van Nen and Deputy Head of the Central Organization Committee Nguyen Thanh Tam on some plans of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee on the arrangement and merger of communes and wards in the province in accordance with the general direction of the Central Government and made some recommendations and proposals on the administrative center of the new province after the merger, the assignment of management and operation of Dau Tieng Lake.
Along with the above tasks, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Manh Hung said that the Provincial Party Committee and the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee continue to lead and direct the preparation work for the Provincial Party Congress towards the 14th National Party Congress, especially focusing on research, promoting collective intelligence, proposing solutions, tasks, and breakthrough programs to create development momentum in the new term.
