On the morning of August 12, Long Binh Ward Police (Bien Hoa City, Dong Nai) said that the unit is coordinating with related units to investigate the gold shop robbery that occurred in the area.
The suspect was identified as LTĐ (born in 1998, from Thua Thien Hue, residing in Binh Phuoc).

According to the case file, at around 7:00 p.m. on August 11, D. walked to the Kim Ngoc Phat gold shop on Bui Van Hoa Street (KP5, Long Binh Ward, Bien Hoa City). At that time, the gold shop was quite crowded, so D. asked the staff to show him 2 gold bracelets, 2 necklaces, 1 pendant, 1 gold ring, with a total value of about 70 million VND.
D. chose for a long time, continuously observing the employees with the intention of choosing the right moment to rob the gold shop.
At around 8:30 p.m., D. suddenly put on gold and stood in front of the store to smoke. Taking advantage of the moment when the staff was not looking, D. ran away with a gold bracelet and a ring.
Discovering the incident, the staff quickly chased after the robber, continuously calling for help from the people to catch the suspect. While escaping, the robber ran into a dead-end alley and was restrained and arrested by the gold shop staff and the people.
Upon receiving the report, Long Binh Ward Police arrived at the scene to take statements from those involved and extract camera footage to investigate the incident.
