The award ceremony was attended by comrades: To Lam, Politburo member, President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam; Nguyen Trong Nghia, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda Department; Tran Luu Quang, Party Central Committee member, Deputy Prime Minister; Nguyen Thi Thanh, Party Central Committee member, Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly; and leaders of the Party, State, ministries, departments and central branches.

Assessing the quality of the works, Comrade Le Quoc Minh, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association, Chairman of the National Press Awards Final Jury, emphasized: The 18th National Press Awards in 2023 has the largest number of participating works ever, with 1,905 works submitted. Of which, 1,827 works meet the requirements according to regulations. Of these, 127 works have authors who are not members of the Vietnam Journalists Association, showing the strong attraction of this award and the great interest and response from members and all levels of the Journalists Association nationwide.

The works submitted to the National Press Awards this year closely followed major topics from politics, economics, culture, society, security, defense and aspects of life in 2023. The press works promptly and vividly reflected major events and important issues of the country with prominent topics such as efforts to implement the 2023 socio-economic development plan and the 2020-2030 socio-economic development strategy.

The award ceremony organizers announced the group of authors from Tuyen Quang Newspaper won the C prize of the National Press Award.

Many works are carefully invested, have a tight structure, and are presented in a close, vivid, and attractive way to readers with content that discovers new issues, criticizes major policies and guidelines of the Party and State, and proposes many creative solutions and good ways of doing things that have a widespread and influential influence on society.

In 2025, the 100th anniversary of the Vietnamese revolutionary press, which is also the year the whole country completes the targets of the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, he suggested that it is necessary to build journalists with bright minds, pure hearts, sharp pens, both red and professional; to highly promote the role of the press in the social struggle, class struggle, with many works of high political and theoretical nature; to enhance cultural values ​​in press works; the press strongly promotes digital transformation and revolutionary innovation...

The final jury awarded 10 first prizes, 26 second prizes, 45 third prizes, and 41 consolation prizes to authors and groups of authors.


Comrade Le Quoc Minh, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association, Editor-in-Chief of Tuyen Quang Newspaper Mai Duc Thong and the group of authors who won the C prize of Tuyen Quang Newspaper.

Tuyen Quang Newspaper has the work "Forest Carbon Credits - Opportunity to create green growth resources" by the group of authors Ngo Thi Thu Ha, Tran Thi Lien, Doan Thi Thu, Hua Thi Thanh Thuy won the C prize. This is the second consecutive year that Tuyen Quang Newspaper has a work winning the National Press Award.

The work “Forest Carbon Credits – Opportunity to create green growth resources” reflects the efforts of Tuyen Quang, together with the whole country, to realize the commitment to bring net zero emissions (Netzero) by 2050 and join the Global Adaptation Action Alliance at the 26th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change.
