Research and survey to implement the Waste-to-Energy Plant Project in Quang Binh

(Quang Binh Portal) - On the morning of March 18, 2025, Comrade Doan Ngoc Lam, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, had a working session with EB Environmental Energy Company Limited (Hue City) to exchange experiences and cooperate in investment in implementing the Waste-to-Energy Plant Project (WEP) in Quang Binh. Attending were representatives of leaders of relevant departments, branches and the Provincial People's Committee Office.

At the meeting, representatives of EB Environmental Energy Co., Ltd. informed about the Company's capacity and operational experience and introduced Everbright DRPĐ technology to Quang Binh province. Specifically, EB Environmental Energy Co., Ltd. belongs to Everbright Environment Group of China (Everbright). Everbright and Martin Company (Germany) have technical cooperation, absorbing international advanced waste-to-energy core technology, based on the application of the characteristics of unsorted waste, low calorific value, high water and ash content of Asian waste.

In addition, Everbright has researched and developed its own incinerator grate system, a mechanical ladder grate system that has been successfully applied in Southeast Asia and other regions; and successfully applied it at the Can Tho DRPĐ Factory and Hue City. With 05 years of experience operating the Can Tho DRPĐ Factory, along with understanding the current waste situation in Vietnam, Everbright meets the strict environmental requirements as prescribed by Vietnamese law.

At the meeting, representatives of the departments, branches and sectors informed about the current status of the volume of collection and treatment of domestic solid waste in the province; at the same time introduced some planning areas to implement waste treatment projects; distributed technical infrastructure around the planning area; provided the boundaries of the planning land to implement the DRPĐ Project...

Concluding the meeting, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee highly appreciated EB Environmental Energy Company Limited for its interest in and proposal to study and implement the Waste Treatment Plant Project in Quang Binh; at the same time, he also requested that during the research and survey process, the Company coordinate with relevant departments, branches, and localities to conduct field surveys of a number of areas planned to implement waste treatment projects; continue to research and propose specific plans to implement the Project to relevant departments and branches for reference and comments to report to the Provincial People's Committee; in the process of strictly complying with the provisions of law on environmental protection; not affecting the production and daily life of local people in the area; creating consensus among the people during the research and survey process to implement the Project. He also emphasized that Quang Binh always welcomes and creates favorable conditions for investors with sufficient capacity to seek investment cooperation opportunities and implement projects in the locality.
