iOS 17.3 is integrated by Apple with many useful features. |
A new security feature built into iOS 17.3 by Apple will help prevent bad guys from taking control of your iPhone and accessing anything stored in iCloud as well as other important accounts like banking or email. Instead of using a lock screen password for security, the device theft protection feature will require Face ID or Touch ID to perform certain tasks.
Additionally, the security delay feature also requires Face ID or Touch ID, waits an hour, and then successfully authenticates biometrically again before being able to perform sensitive tasks like changing the device passcode or Apple ID password.
According to Apple, the iPhone only activates this layer of security when the user is away from “familiar places like home or work.” To enable iPhone theft protection, go to Settings, select Face ID & Passcode. From there, enter the device passcode and select Enable.
In addition to the security features, the iOS 17.3 update also introduces a number of other features such as playlist collaboration, which lets you invite your friends to join a playlist to add, arrange, or delete songs; AirPlay support in hotels that allows streaming content directly to in-room TVs at certain hotels; optimization and collision detection.
To update iOS 17.3 for iPhone, go to Settings > General > Software Update and select Update Now or Update Tonight.
