The Ministry of Education and Training has just issued an official dispatch requesting the Departments of Education and Training to review and report on the situation of extracurricular educational activities at preschools, general education institutions, and regular education institutions.

The Ministry of Education and Training said that, implementing the Ministry's regulations on extracurricular educational activities and the policy of socializing education, localities have organized many activities such as: life skills education; linking foreign language teaching, enhanced computer teaching; organizing experiential activities outside of school... according to the needs of learners at preschool, general and continuing education institutions. The results have contributed to consolidating and improving knowledge, skills and comprehensive personality education for learners.
However, according to the Ministry of Education and Training, the management of extracurricular educational activities still has limitations, leading to concerns and worries and creating negative public opinion about this type of educational activity.
To enhance management efficiency and ensure the rights of teachers, students and trainees when participating in extracurricular activities at educational institutions, the Ministry of Education and Training requests that the Departments of Education and Training implement a number of contents.
Specifically, strengthen management and direct educational institutions to strictly implement current regulations on linking, organizing and implementing extracurricular educational activities according to learners' needs.
Report on the implementation of extracurricular educational activities in the locality with the following contents: direction of the Department of Education and Training; implementation at educational institutions; assessment of advantages and difficulties; proposals, recommendations and data synthesis.
The Ministry of Education and Training also requested that, during the implementation process, if there are any problems, the Departments of Education and Training should report to the Ministry (through the Department of Secondary Education) for timely resolution.
