Yen Bai - First launched by the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union in 2004, over the past 20 years, Youth Month has been identified as the center of youth volunteer movements, attracting hundreds of millions of young people to participate. Reporter (PV) of Yen Bai Newspaper had an interview with comrade Ha Duc Hai - Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, Chairman of the Vietnam Youth Union (VYU) of the province about this issue.

Reporter: Could you please tell us, to promote the tradition of Youth Month, what movements, programs and activities have Yen Bai Provincial Youth Union - Vietnam Youth Union of the province implemented to attract, gather and unite young people?

Comrade Ha Duc Hai: Every year, Youth Month has a new look, organized with more and more practical and effective contents and methods, thereby creating a beautiful image of today's youth generation. Not only creating hundreds of valuable youth works and projects, Youth Month is also a rich, vast "school" of practice, a healthy social environment for youth.

Implementing the theme of Youth Month 2025 launched by the Central Youth Union "Youth is proud - firmly believes in the Party", at the end of February 2025, in Phuc Ninh commune, Yen Binh district, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Youth Union - Secretariat of the Vietnam Youth Union organized the Launching Ceremony of Youth Month 2025.

Previously, Yen Bai Provincial Youth Union - Vietnam Youth Federation of the province had carefully prepared, selected programs and tasks suitable to the actual conditions in the locality. Yen Bai Provincial Youth Union - Vietnam Youth Federation of the province set out 5 key tasks in Youth Month 2025: promoting propaganda and education of revolutionary ideals for young people; organizing competitions to learn about the tradition of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, strengthening propaganda about important events of the country and youth movements; launching emulation, implementing youth projects and tasks...

Along with that, continue to carry out social security activities such as: humanitarian blood donation, free medical examination and treatment, support for the poor, support for start-ups for union members and young people.

Right at the launching ceremony, Yen Bai Provincial Youth Union presented flags and hats to the Youth Volunteer Team; coordinated to support the construction of new model rural areas in the locality with a total value of 370 million VND; supported 30 sets of multi-purpose student desks and chairs for Phuc Ninh Primary and Secondary School, Yen Binh District; awarded 10 scholarships to students in difficult circumstances, each worth 500,000 VND; donated 5 bicycles to poor and orphaned students...; simultaneously launched tree planting, roadside construction, inaugurated the "Lighting up the Countryside Roads" project, started construction of rural traffic bridges; organized activities to guide the treatment of household waste with biological products; visited classrooms supported with multi-purpose desks and chairs for boarding students; launched a model of a residential area that reduces plastic waste...

PV : From now until the end of Youth Month 2025, what activities will Yen Bai Provincial Youth Union - Vietnam Youth Union continue to implement, sir?

Comrade Ha Duc Hai: For Yen Bai Provincial Youth Union - Vietnam Youth Union of the province, Youth Month 2025 was launched with the theme "Yen Bai Youth proactively and voluntarily overcome the consequences of natural disasters, restore socio-economic development and rebuild community life". Therefore, Yen Bai Provincial Youth Union - Vietnam Youth Union of the province has been actively implementing projects and tasks with high action, ensuring practicality, efficiency and closely following the focus of the Youth Union and youth movement in 2025.

Typical examples include: supporting the construction of new rural areas in villages and hamlets in particularly difficult communes; implementing models of "Exchanging trash for trees", "Livelihood tree gardens"; participating in supporting funding, construction materials and working days to carry out projects to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses; organizing the Peak Day of "Volunteering to build civilized urban areas", sorting waste at source, activities "The second journey of tires and plastic bottles"...

The year 2025 is of special significance, as it is the year of organizing Party congresses at all levels, towards the 14th National Party Congress. At the same time, 2025 will witness many important events of the country: the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and national reunification, the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday, the 80th anniversary of the founding of the country...

During the journey of more than two decades since the Party and State decided to choose March every year as Youth Month, the Youth Union and Association at all levels have been proactive and persistent in implementing many practical activities, diverse in content and form.

With the spirit of shock, volunteerism, and creativity of the youth of Yen Bai province, determined to contribute their youth to the development of their homeland and country, through many meaningful and practical activities, Youth Month 2025 is realizing the dreams of Yen Bai youth, enthusiastic and creative, through specific activities contributing to building Yen Bai to develop rapidly and sustainably in the direction of "Green, harmonious, unique and happy".

Youth Month has truly become a vast space, a rich practical "school", a healthy social environment for young people to fan the flames of passion, enthusiasm, dedication, not afraid of hardship, and initiative, true to the spirit of "Wherever there is a need, there are youth, wherever there is difficulty, there are youth".
