At the meeting, the leaders of Cho Moi district reported on the implementation of site clearance and resettlement area construction. Accordingly, the People's Committee of Cho Moi district is the investor of the resettlement sub-project of site clearance, under the Cho Moi - Bac Kan road construction investment project in the district. Currently, the district is appraising and approving detailed planning projects for resettlement areas in Thanh Thinh, Thanh Mai and Thanh Van communes. According to the plan, the total number of households in need of resettlement in the district is 104, of which Thanh Thinh commune has 85 households, Thanh Mai commune has 7 households and Thanh Van commune has 12 households.
In terms of scale, the Ban Ang resettlement area (Thanh Thinh commune) is expected to have an area of about 9.8 hectares; the resettlement area in Thanh Mai commune is about 0.42 hectares; the resettlement area in Thanh Van commune is about 1.32 hectares. According to the decision of the Provincial People's Committee, the resettlement project in Cho Moi district includes 10 bidding packages, of which the district has completed the selection of contractors for 7 bidding packages.
Regarding site clearance, the Cho Moi - Bac Kan route has a section passing through Cho Moi district with a total length of about 22.9 km. The project affects 865 households, individuals and 5 organizations in Thanh Thinh, Nong Ha, Thanh Mai and Thanh Van communes. Of these, 110 households had their residential land recovered and had to relocate. To date, the Cho Moi District People's Committee has completed the inventory of 100% of affected households.
The District People's Committee has approved the compensation and support plan (phase 1) for households whose graves were affected with a total cost of more than 3.9 billion VND. Of the 207 graves belonging to 105 households, more than 180 graves have been moved, while 12 graves cannot be moved because they were newly buried.

At the meeting, the leaders of Cho Moi district proposed that the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee consider and direct relevant departments and branches to shorten the appraisal time and give opinions on the project within the minimum allowable scope; speed up the progress of funding for the project; issue technical and economic norms as a basis for making state budget estimates for land valuation; support the part of the property that is housing; have special support policies for households whose graves are located close to the land acquisition boundary.

Concluding the working session, Provincial Party Secretary Hoang Duy Chinh requested the Standing Committee of Cho Moi District Party Committee to strictly implement site clearance work, shorten implementation time, and coordinate well with relevant units to deploy and verify land origin early.
Regarding progress, it is necessary to urgently accelerate, work regardless of time, including holidays, regularly report to leaders to promptly resolve difficulties and obstacles in the implementation process. The way of doing things needs to be proactive, creative, adjusting, supplementing, reviewing regularly, closely monitoring each specific task, and assigning specific tasks to each commune.
Along with that is the concern to arrange administrative units, eliminate temporary houses, dilapidated houses in the area. Each individual and leader needs to put themselves in the position and wishes of the people to effectively implement. The district mobilizes more human resources, uses the regular budget to deploy and effectively implement support for cadres working overtime.
The Provincial Party Secretary stated that the province has directed functional agencies to monitor and supervise cadres in carrying out site clearance work to avoid negativity and disunity among the people./.
